On March 13 I went to this location to get a oil change and as I waited I seen cars get done within 15 to 20 min and out, as soon it was my turn I figured that the gentleman that was asking me for the information was not much experience with the questions he was asking and he kept calling someone else to help him,now is been 2 weeks since this happen I had 5 different people trying to work on a oil change, I kept seeing all others leave and I ask why is taking so long for you to get me out of here, one answer was they where waiting on the oil and it was backed up, so I kept watching them and they looked worried and nervous, as I seen them under my hood talking very secretly, so I started to worry and kept my eyes on them , they came back told me after about 45min I was almost done I said why it took you so long? The gentleman couldn't answer me and change the subject to okay all set proceed forward, I gave him a tip and kept wondering why they looked so worry and took so long, as I left the place a half a mile away I had my tire empty completely out, so I put a spare and kept it moving as I drove home I realized my tires where purchased 2 days before, and my service light was still on, they didn't know how to reset it when I ask, so today is 2 weeks since , my oil light started to blink and I wonder why if I just had a oil change, so I parked my vehicle and checked the oil and it was way pass the full line, so I parked my vehicle and the next morning I went to started and it started knocking load, I shut it off called valvoline customers service and they ask me to call back in the morning, now my question is do they tech worker have any experience with all type of vehicle or just some, I drive a audi A6 and is in mint condition, now into I findout tomm what they can do for me, I will keep the customers posted into then ,,, thanks. We'll is June 8th still valvoline has not answer any of my requests at all, so just for yous to know, my up date is here and noone at all ever got in touch with me,so I took a lost but at least the world knows now how responsible they really are. Sad never take your vehicle to this place at all...
Read moreI've been using this dealer off and on since they opened. I usually change my own oil. Stopped by last week. They checked my antifrezze told and showed me that it was bad. I told the representative he was mistaken as I personally 6 months ago changed my hoses and installed new fluid! His excuse, tester was bad. He then cked again supposedly with another tester " which I never got to see" and said it was good to 40 below. Now mind you I'd been driving around early January in temps of 5 above zero with no cracked block! Lol. It dawned on me the next morning that the 1st tester was full of almost clear fluid! My anti freeze is bright green! If we checked his work station,I'm sure we would find that tester crimped with old wornout fluid just waiting to be shown to an unsuspecting customer! Those testers don't go bad. And even if it was , why the diff. In the color of "my anti freeze" hmmmm. They obviously tried to rip me off. I've since heard of other people with similar experiences at this dealer. I've been working on cars all my life. I'm 58. I know when I'm being screwed! I suggest you avoid these guys and their bait and switch tactics. I'm sure they could do this with any product they sell as we the consumer are not on the garage floor! UNLIKE MOST I KNOW MY CAR! CUSTOMER BEWARE! When indoubt wait! Ask an experienced friend or professional or ck your car yourself if you can. Most of the items they try to sell you on such as wipers or lamps etc. You can and should ck your self! Oh! The next day I used my washers and the low washer lamp came on lol ,guess I didn't get my fluids "topped" off did I. Shame on me for trusting , but at least I didn't pay for antifrezze service I...
Read moreDON'T EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. THIS NEGLIGENT BUSINESS RUINED THE ENGINE ON MY BRAND NEW 2025 VEHICLE AFTER ITS VERY FIRST SERVICE EVER AND THEY WON'T TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY.
I brought my 2025 Honda CRV Sport Hybrid to Valvoline of Watertown for its VERY FIRST oil change and only service ever done to the vehicle only to have the engine seize on me a couple of weeks later. NO SHOP OTHER THAN VALVOLINE OF WATERTOWN EVER TOUCHED MY VEHICLE. I got my car towed to Honda of Danbury and they sent me the diagnostic that the car had been filled with TWICE as much oil which caused the engine failure stating that they took about 8 quarts of oil and metal fragments out of the engine and it would need a whole new engine.
The manager Rich of Valvoline of Watertown and the district manager Andrew both denied my claim and said they weren't at fault refusing to pay me a dime. Honda apologized to me for the negligence in the world and did everything they could to help me with my loss, stating they wished they could cover it under warranty but obviously since it was a servicing error that wasn't done at Honda there was nothing they could do on that front as headquarters would diagnose the cause of engine failure if they claimed it under warranty and see the truth, that the engine was in fact overfilled with oil.
