When it comes to Renaissance Milwaukee West, you ger a confluence of sophistication and opulence. The purpose of this trip was a very special occasion. Therefore, I wanted to make sure this hotel checked all boxes I needed in order to make this trip not not only successful, but memorable. I reached out to the hotel and was connected to front desk manager Veronica. After conversing with Veronica I knew immediately that I had come to the right place. She answered all my questions and then some! I decided not to look at any other hotels in the city and booked with them almost immediately! Although it was months in advance, my spouse and I were ecstatic to say the least for our upcoming stay!||Alast, the day had finally come. One before the arrival, we coordinated one last time with the hotel to make sure everything with our reservation was in order. Turns out it was and then some! Upon arrival, we were greeted by Lorena who sweet, friendly and funny all rolled in one. She also gracious enough to bless us with breakfast the next morning. It was incredible (separate review for that experience to come)!! We make our way up to the room and our eyes opened wide! The room was breathtakingly spacious, clean and chic! As someone who designs spaces for a living, even I was amazed by the sheer beauty of the design of room. From the modern tub to the contemporary lighting, the elegant eclecticism is certainly something that is distinctively one-of-a-kind. The location cannot be beat! They have an amazing restaurant on site, but if you want to venue out, Cheesecake Factory and Mayfair Mall as literally steps away. The views we spectacular. Especially when we were there during the leave change period. Speaking of you have amazing views of the city as well Miller Park. Please see the pics for more. ||Speaking of more, while in the room, we noticed a quaint handwritten note by housekeeping. As someone who stays at 5-star hotels from time to time, this is something extraordinary rare. However there’s more! Roughly 20-30mins after discovering the note, we hear a knock on the door. It’s housekeeping! In particular, it’s Winnie…the very person who left us the sweet note when we checked into the hotel room! We looked at each other in agreement that this place walks the talk when it comes to hospitality. ||Overall our trip exceeded all expectations! Our location was equidistant to all our destinations including the city of Milwaukee (which is literally a 10 minute drive or less). We highly recommend the Renaissance Milwaukee West as your next destination if you’re ever looking to stay in the suburbs of west Milwaukee or explore what southeast Wisconsin has to offer! For they offer world class accommodations, top notch services and...
Read moreLet’s me start off by saying that I was very excited for my stay here, for this past weekend! But when I got there that excitement faded away. First off the two ladies at the front desk were extremely rude. Secondly when I went up to my room, it wasn’t clean at all! It was hair on the sink, the tub wasn’t clean! When I called down to ask for housekeeping I was informed that it wasn’t available due to them being short staffed! Ok cool, we just went to the Walgreens and got Clorox wipes and bleach spray. Then we noticed a stain on the cover, we called down and the guy informed us that we couldn’t get a replacement, now this left me in total shock! Like you really want us to lay on a nasty cover, ok! We couldn’t get any fresh towels, it was just horrible! We went down to the restaurant, this was the best part of our stay, everyone there was so polite and they had a live singer! We sat there had a couple of drinks and door dashed us food from P.F Changs, because at this point it started to snow and we missed our dinner reservation. So on Saturday it was another guy at the desk, we asked for towels and thankfully we were given some. But we found out that they didn’t offer complimentary breakfast, which wasn’t a surprise. After we was told that they had offered breakfast on the 12th floor, ok whatever! So it came to where we had to stay another night, not something that we wanted to do! We left the hotel and came back a little after five and we asked again for fresh sheets and housekeeping, because at this point it was rose petals all over the 7th floor. We were informed again that housekeeping wasn’t available and we couldn’t get sheets. So we left to go purchase some, again spent unnecessary money. So when we left it was an older black lady at the front desk, where she informed me that she was a supervisor, but her attitude was horrible. I’m trying to give her my complaint and she’s totally brushing me off! Acting as if she didn’t wanna hear what I was saying. Now I don’t know about anybody else but when it comes to spending my money, I want exactly what I paid for! Her attitude was outta this world. So I called today to ask to speak with a manager, they guy told me it was a lady by the name, Veronica, because I told him I didn’t wanna speak to the black lady again because she was rude. So he transferred to Veronica’s voicemail and I still haven’t spoken to anyone about this horrible experience. I’m trying not to dispute the charges with my bank or call and make a complain with the better business bureau, but at this point I don’t have a choice. This was completely unacceptable and...
Read moreWe recently had to visit family in Milwaukee so our daughter and her husband booked this hotel for us using their points. They paid for an upgraded room with 2 queen beds. When we entered the room we found the floor unswept and dust visible throughout the room. The temperature in the room was a very cold 65 degrees with a non functioning thermostat. We immediately brought both issues to the front desk and were given assurances the issues would be corrected while we were out for the evening. They were not. It was extremely cold in the room all night and the room was still in need of cleaning. Also there was only one set of towels for the two of us. The second day we once again contacted the front desk asking for the room to be cleaned and the thermostat checked. This time an engineer came to the room and while the could not adjust the thermostat he did tell us it would be fixed. We went out for the full day and came back to unswept cold room. Once again we asked the hotel to please at the very least sweep the room. But the heat did finally come and raised the temperature to a more comfortable 73 degrees. That only lasted one night. Our last day we both had on sweaters and packed as quickly as we could so we could check out before the 1:00 pm time we had arranged. Both rooms our daughter booked experienced these issues and at $400+ per night we should at least have had clean floors and a comfortable temperature. I feel bad they used all their points on this booking and firmly believe the should be reimbursed a potion if not all of them. We have stayed at many Marriott hotels both in this country and several others and never had this problem. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone who has a choice of...
