Rent-A-Center — Attraction in Waxahachie

I have always used Rent A Center, even when I paid for something in full instead of going somewhere else because I liked the company and my mother used them as well. My opinion has now soured. My mother had paid off her last purchase with them and died 2 months ago. They keep calling to try to get her to purchase more items from them! I told them she was passed away from the very beginning and I asked them to remove her from their call list. I understand you are trying to drum up business but to keep on after being asked to stop is ridiculous. I am already having a difficult enough of a time trying to put her affairs in order and to keep having to explain that she is gone over and over when you already know is a slap in the face. Especially when she doesn't owe you any money because her debt with you was cleared before she passed. Please get your employees minds right and really ask yourself if this is how you would want a business to treat you if your loved one passed away. The "today" in the screenshot is for Saturday. So when you didn't get me to pick up on Wednesday so I could remind you she is dead you called back, you didn't leave a message, and then you called back 3 days later. She is dead!...

I just relocated to the area and needed a few items for my new apartment. I stopped in the Rent A Center in Waxahatchie, TX. Ms Ruth approached me eager to assist! I told her what I was looking for, a bed and sofa sleeper. She immediate told me about a great special they were running. I was a little overwhelmed with the special that offered almost an enough furniture for a Large 1 bedroom apartment.. she got my attention! I selected my item(s) and included a couch that I really wanted. She went over and above to get that couch included in the items I needed. When I left RTO, I was so excited! The Manager and her team were awesome and went over and above to make sure I was happy! I highly recommend this location! If they don’t have the item you want, they will find it for you at other store locations! I am very appreciative of the level of service I received…T....

I don't believe they are in business to make money. The first day I went in there was one guy by himself and 4 customers including me. He was very pleasant and apologized for the wait. I took the app home to gather my documents. The next day I go in with money in hand and there were 3 different workers none of which acknowledged me. Finally, after a few minutes of waiting, I was worthy of their time. I gave them the completed app just to be told I HAD to put my husband on the app. Why? His response was they need to know where the merchandise is located...what kind of foolery is that!? All I wanted was an item on 90 day same as cash and I was giving them 80% of the price that day and pay the rest in 2 weeks. Their loss, I went to their competitor and got same day delivery and as of today it is paid in full! You can fill in the expletive blanks on how I truly feel about...
