I was visiting my daughter in Texas, and she told me about all the wonderful shops in Weatherford, we chose to go there instead of Waco My daughter wanted to show me a painting that they had their eye on for quite a while and been haggling for the price to drop while in the store My husband spotted a jacket leather Eddie Bauer, not sure how old but in good shape They were asking $50 My husband asked if they would drop the price the nice lady at the counter called the owner, and the owner was not willing to come down, so we left empty handed Two days later I decided to go back and purchase the jacket and surprise my hubby, I went into the store, different lady told her I was interested in this jacket if it had not sold, I found the jacket and jokingly asked would she take $10 off Her demeanor completely changed she assumed I was a complete imbecile for even suggesting I would ask, she said these jackets go for $300 and $400 on Ebay and she wanted to show me, I politely let her know I didn’t need to see the eBay and I would gladly pay the ticket price of $50 She then said she thought she would just archive the jacket, and maybe go up on the price, At this point I felt she was very annoyed offended, whatever.. me still trying to keep a sense of humor followed her back to the counter a very nice young man in a wheel chair was there, I believe he was a friend, I suppose she must have rolled her eyes at me to him, because I heard him ask her what was wrong She left the counter and went and talked to a couple of other people , I stood waiting for her to come back, when she did she still ignoring me got out a bottle of wine and poured two glasses and walked away again, came back and I politely told her I was ready to check out She again said she decided she is not selling that jacket to me not at the ticket price but I could purchase for a higher price I said no thank you and turned to leave she shouted back at me she would never sell that jacket for $35 or $40 I turned and told her I was going to pay the $50, but I shop vintage and antique stores all the time, we always haggle the price I was a business owner, in catering and event planning everything is negotiable and if not just say no! I was a bit upset and probably opened the door hard to go out I heard her tell the other guest she was sorry for having to hear that as I turned the corner she came out of her door and shouted for me to never come back to her shop. Ok people , I don’t know how people in Weatherford do business but In Alabama we do not treat potential customers this way Not for asking if they would come down on a jacket Her arrogance was beyond, inbthis world we live in it seems people are so easily offended Relax and as the saying goes In a society where you can be any thing, just be kind In ending, I would say NO I would never shop there, well I cannot because she said never come back I hope if you go there your experience is better than...
Read moreIf I could leave a zero I certainly would. This place is an overpriced second hand store posing as something interesting. Unfortunately, it is no more unique than your common Goodwill store and quite frankly I have found better items there! As far as customer service is concerned there is none. My mother was treated as if she were a pariah when she simply asked to negotiate a 10 dollar difference on a jacket--which to my understanding is customary when shopping second hand fare. I am not sure if the woman working was the owner or a clerk but she was so absolutely offended by the attempt to haggle that she tried to embarrass and humiliate my mother by ignoring her while proceeding to pour two glasses of wine and then proclaiming that she was going up in the price and my mother could pay more if she wanted the item. Mind you, this is after my mother offered full price to save the hassle. I am embarrassed this womans behavior as my mother is from Alabama and came to visit me in Texas, she only shopped in this store because I spoke highly of the friendly people in Weatherford and wanted her to have the full Texas experience. Instead she was humiliated and then told never to return by a person who had obviously had one too many glasses of wine in a shop full of items whose value is grossly misjudged. I do not recommend this place and would warn anyone who dare cross the day drinking clerk. DO NOT GO THERE. Her shop brings down the entire shopping experience in...

Elizabeth: People with this name are excellent at analyzing, understanding, and learning. They tend to be mystics, philosophers, scholars, and teachers. Their solitary thoughtfulness and analysis of people and world events may make them seem aloof, and sometimes even melancholy.”
^^^pretty spot on description of Elizabeth ! It is quite clear that the majority of people that have taken the time to leave their opinion or experience here on this business page-mostly all agree that this store is owned by an incredible, well liked and well respected individual. Becoming hostile with a person for no other reason than embarrassment because your haggling on an item, with an already substantial discount, was not accepted. Luckily it is very obvious that the only not so good reviews on this page are related- HA- literally related! This attempt to discredit Elizabeth is a waste of...
