Veterans Memorial Park — Attraction in West Allis

I used to play there when I was little, now I take my grand children. They always have fun, and sometimes Officer Nelson will come out and joke around with all the kids. The best part is when they hold the Tuesday Night In The Park for the little ones and joins all the kids in squirt gun fights, playing Santa for Christmas in July. I wish they had the Tuesday Nights in the park when I was little. But they did make a Ice Skating rink on the field for us and in the summer we had fun in the field house for playing board games, arts and crafts and they even had a kiddie pool behind the building...

Nice little park. But dont come at like 3pm on a hot day because there is no shade so slides and play area will b hot. Theres 4 benches to sit near play area. 2 wood large benches to like sit and eat. Theres not restrooms. Only one portable large gray one away from the park. Park its connected to the west allis police station. Theres a parking lot and you can park on street. Theres a pick n save. Less than a block away incase you want to buy any snacks for kids or go to a regular bathroom. I would return . Play area is nice and kids like...

This park is very kid friendly. The playground is awesome, and the open grass area allows you to do many family activities. In the summer, they have live concerts. There is also a fitness court nearby for ages 14 and up to use. You can scan a QR code that takes you to an app that shows you so many workouts that you can do.
