I went to True Natural Day Spa for the first time today for a $120 90 minute full body massage. During my massage, I could hear the front desk phone ring. The person giving my massage left the room to answer the phone. She apologized when she returned, but it cut into my massage time and threw me off. About 15 minutes later I could hear the entrance door open to the building (there is a bell that rings when you walk in). Again, my massage was interrupted as the person giving me my massage left to accommodate the person who walked in. So I’m laying there while I hear her talk to the person who was at the front desk. If there is only one person working then massages shouldn’t be booked for that time frame. It’s unprofessional and rude to the person getting a massage. She came back and again - apologized and mentioned she would give me more of a massage. I was slightly irritated but thought that was fair to have more massage time as my time had been interrupted twice now. She also started massaging my face after she returned the second time - I’m not sure if she washed her hands before this (if there is a sink outside the room where hands were washed then nevermind). But I was grossed out that she left the room twice touching who knows what and massaging my face now. Then the music stopped playing and it was silent, I thought the music would be turned back on, but it wasn’t. It is not very relaxing to get a massage in dead silence. At the end she said my 90 minutes were up. In my head I was confused as she said I would get more massage time because of being interrupted twice. She left the room and I looked at my phone to see it wasn’t even a full 90 minute massage. I was cut short 8 minutes. I then proceeded to check out and I was still charged the full $120 for the massage that was interrupted twice AND cut short minutes. I that was beyond unacceptable. I will not...
Read moreUtterly blown away by this spa and cannot wait to return. The massage was acupressure style and absolutely incredible. She was able to identify all of my knots and worked extremely hard to release them. My face was glowing after the facial and my skin is SO soft after the body scrub.
This spa was simply the best choice for celebrating mother's day. We did the couples package that included the massage, sauna, body scrub, and facial. I was impressed every step of the way, not only with the services, but even more, the friendliness of the people here. I left wanting to be friends with everyone here; they are THAT warm and inviting. I have never felt so welcomed in a spa before (which can sometimes be an uncomfortable situation with the wrong people employed). Everything is clean, well organized, and professional. If you're looking to gift someone something amazing, this is the move. I've done a similar package like this at a much more expensive spa in Detroit, and this one beats it 100%. Value for the dollar is extraordinary!
Other bits to know: wear loose comfortable clothes, your things will be moved from room to room by the staff depending on your services, they provide plenty of water. The sauna is a small personal size, only really able to hold 2 people, but you can adjust heat and lighting to your liking. They provide robes and sandals to wear during your time. I did not see any lockers. The ladies appreciate a beautiful tattoo 😎 most are from China. Great chance to practice your speaking with such...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this place for a year. Each time I come, I spend a couple hundred dollars and have tipped well.
I’m disappointed to have to write this review, but I feel obligated.
I will not be returning back as I feel I was “shook” down for more of a tip than I left. I left a tip based on the level of service I feel I received.
I paid online for my first service when I booked and inquired about a second service in my order submission online. I paid for the second service in person and tipped in that payment.
The woman who provided the service told me I hadn’t tipped enough based on the time of the service I received. There was a language barrier so I felt it pointless to try to explain why I tipped the way I did.
I got a massage and a facial. The massage wasn’t the best I’ve had there. Not enough pressure. And during the facial, the masseuse was heavy handed on my face and made significant noise throughout the service. I spent money today to relax and I felt everything but relaxed when I left.
Tips should be based on performance of service, not the amount of time of a service. Otherwise, you all should just build the tip into the cost of...
