i generally like everything about sport clips. the mvp is my favorite, but only when the associate puts care and attention into it. sometimes they seem almost "lazy" about it and rush the shampoo / scalp massage portion of it and that's the best part. if i had to choose between the back vibrator massage and the scalp / shampoo one, the scalp wins every time and twice on sunday. also, in some other stores (i used to go to the rockaway, nj store exclusively), the associates pay attention to how they rub not only your scalp but the back of your neck. that's fantastic and i wish everyone would do that. but where i go now (Caldwell, NJ) they never do. makes me sad. they should also always offer to double or even triple it (the mvp). i would often do that when offered but feel awkward asking for it. also, wait times seem to have improved lately and i appreciate that. no one likes walking in and seeing an hour wait on the screen. especially when there are multiple empty chairs (meaning the store seems under staffed). better staffing / quicker waits will ensure more visits by me personally and a happier time by all. Thanks...
Read moreNot a nice store if you're a woman. I got in line at this store online, per their rules and then traveled over there, which was out of my way but my regular sports clips was all booked up. When I got there, i sat and waited in the waiting room for about 5 minutes when one of the cutters asked me if I had checked in online and I told her that I had. She then told me that she didn't cut women's hair, which is funny because it allowed me to pick her as a cutter. So, I asked if one of the other 2 women would do it and she said they don't cut women's hair either. So, i'd have to come back on Tuesday. It was Sunday and I work during the week from 7am to 6:30pm, they close before I can get to them during the week. So, I asked her "no one here will cut my hair because i'm a woman"? None of us cut women's hair. What? I have a very short hair style and I have never had another sport clips location tell me that they wouldn't cut my hair for any reason. Not a nice way to...
Read moreI like Sports Clips because they specialize in Men's haircuts. Usually I go to Supercuts across the street but sometimes it's good to switch things up. Been here a few times both with my late father and by myself. The staff are pretty friendly overall and the place is very clean. The haircuts I've gotten there have been a mixed bag, but then again so has every haircut I've ever gotten anywhere else. I usually bring past pictures of myself after a haircut that I liked. My most recent one feels way shorter than I was looking for, but with wavy/curly hair it can be hard to work with. Was looking for more of a trim/clean up with my longer hair but the results were more of a haircut. The trim I had last September at this location was good and a bit more of my style. At the end of the day though I suppose it's good for healthy hair to be cut a bit shorter than you're used to. Overall, I...
