I decided to look into personal training because I did not feel confident in my own skin and wanted to put in work to feel strong and healthy. Jo was introduced to me and immediately, she made me feel comfortable despite the anxiety I felt being in a gym. She made sure to ask about my fitness goals and worked closely with me to come up with a variety of exercises that worked best for me and my comfort level. Jo was especially mindful of a recent back injury I experienced and made sure to monitor my pain throughout our sessions, modifying exercises as needed to prevent further injury while working toward my goals. I started our sessions together unable to do any heavy lifting because of the intense pain in my lower back. In just a couple of months, Jo had gotten me to a point where I was able to deadlift my own weight with no pain and have fun doing it! Jo is a knowledgeable, nonjudgemental, and personable personal trainer who will make it her mission to ensure your comfort while also pushing you to your limits to achieve the results you are looking for. Reach out to Jo if you want to feel your best and have fun...
Read moreI found this gym and got paired with Coach Riley, I gave her quite the tall task - there's something wrong with my deadlift form and I have 5 weeks to fix it before my first powerlifting meet. She made my deadlift pains go away, my PR's go up significantly, and made me feel much more confident about my first meet. The results were immediate due to her technical analysis of my form and coaching me through the proper technique, giving me both physical directions and mental cues to follow once I am on the platform to have a consistent 3 attempts in competition. Not only that, Riley is extremely down to earth, patient, and made me excited about the lift I previously dreaded the most. I highly recommend this place for the intro to experienced powerlifter. The facility has all of the powerlifting essentials, the vibe to motivate you to perform at your best, and the coaching staff to provide...
Read moreI’ve been to many gyms in my life, and what I absolutely HATE is the pressure of not knowing how to use the equipment, whether I’m lifting correctly and safely, or if I’ll be judged for not having perfect "gym etiquette." When I found out that GND stands for goals not dreams, I was intrigued. I soon discovered that this place is more than just a gym, it’s a community of like minded individuals who not only show up to support each other’s fitness goals, but are also actively involved in giving back to the community. I wish I could write an entire story about the positive impact GND is having on its members and the surrounding community. Every member plays a part in turning shared dreams into achievable goals, and that’s the kind of gym I’m...
