Loft Lucia — Attraction in West Chicago Township

We had the most magical day at Loft Lucia for our September wedding! I fell in love with Loft Lucia the moment I saw it online and it is even more stunning in person. I loved it because it checks all the boxes—in a beautiful part of the city, indoor, outdoor space on a rooftop terrace, and a gorgeous reception space on the floor below. The space is so pretty on its own and the minimal and tasteful decor and plants just make it even better. This was the first venue I saw and loved it so much we booked it without seeing any other spaces and have no regrets. I also really appreciated the fact that they have an extensive FAQ page that helped answer several of our questions right off the bat—including the cost (which for a lot of venues, they make you inquire for the price). They shared with us their catalogue of furniture including types and dimensions of tables, chairs, etc, as well as a list of caterers and other vendors they frequently work with, which helped us a lot in narrowing down which vendors to hire—which were all wonderful by the way. We worked with Rebecca from the very start and she was so accommodating and helpful giving my family multiple tours of the space as I live out of state, and when I was in the area, allowing me to visit multiple times. Communication with Rebecca was great from the beginning and all the way to after our wedding day! Rebecca is very personable and communicative and I really appreciated that. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, I had lots of questions come up and multiple adjustments to make based on guest count changing, and they were very kind handling those changes. On our wedding day, the staff was very kind and ensured our day was nothing short of perfect. We couldn’t have been more thrilled with our choice of Loft Lucia for our wedding! This venue truly exceeded all our expectations and provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. With its unique combination of indoor and outdoor spaces, Loft Lucia offers the best of both worlds.

The venue features two levels of stunning exposed brick that beautifully contrasts with its modern and clean design. The space is immaculately kept, and the full commercial kitchen was a huge bonus, allowing our caterer to prepare everything on-site and fresh. The natural light flooding through the venue during the day created a warm, inviting atmosphere, and as night fell, the romantic interior lighting set the perfect mood for our celebration.

Rebecca, who guided us from our first visit through to the final walkthrough, was exceptional. Her professionalism and coordination with our vendors ensured that everything ran smoothly. She was always available to answer questions and make adjustments, and her attention to detail made our planning process much easier.

After visiting over 15 venues during our search, Loft Lucia was the clear standout. Its cleanliness, modernity, and versatile spaces perfectly matched our vision for the wedding. It was truly the best venue we could have hoped for, and it played a significant role in making our day so memorable.

I am sure the space is beautiful, but as a few other reviewers mentioned, they are not easy to work with. I have been trying to schedule a tour for two weeks. They send you a link with very limited availability, I emailed asking if there were any additional times, didn't hear back and had to follow up. I had asked about evenings and weekends and was offered Monday at 1pm. I continued to converse with Rebecca who just came off completely passive aggressive. Maybe it wasn't intentional, but I want to work with a team who is kind and professional when planning my wedding -- the people you work with are equally as important to the space. I asked her to cancel the tour I booked (three weeks from the original date I reached out after many emails) as I didn't think it was going to be the right fit -- her response "We try our best to help but if we are not able to meet your needs before you’ve even booked an event with us, we don’t want to continue to disappoint." rubbed me the wrong way. I understand people are busy, but this was unnecessary. The other venues (equally busy) have been kind, easy to work with and respectful. Overall unfortunate as the space in the pictures is beautiful. Update: not surprised by Rebecca's quick (but inaccurate) response. If only she responded to emails...
