We were invited for some good old fashioned blue grass and country music on Friday nights- as my daughter has been taking my 91 year old aunt there fairly regularly as of late. The owner told me they do country gospel on Saturday nights. It is usually about $5 dollars to enter; However, when we attended the fee was $15 dollars as they had special bands come in that particular night. That band travels about and they have a fee they charge the business managers or owners, as well as the hopes of selling their music to the crowd. The band was very popular. Food is sold at counter along with soda and tea or coffee. Chips, popcorn and hot dogs seem to be on the menu and there are a variety of instruments and sheet music for sale. Family environment- though the adults do not exactly appreciate toddlers interrupting the entertainment. Out of respect for other guests, just as children acting up in a movie theater should be removed untill able to behave; Likewise, it is rude to allow children to distract the adults who paid for a nice evening of entertainment. I think it is a fairly safe place to enjoy yourself whether attending alone or with others. I would recommend this place to others with the understanding that it is for a certain music genre- thus the name, Bill's pickin' parlor.

Bill’s is an amazing place to come hear bluegrass music! Hear great shows for only $5 or $10, bring your instrument to do some picking yourself, and enjoy the warm hospitality and family-friendly atmosphere. As a performing band, we absolutely loved playing here and can’t wait to come back in October!! (Headin’ Home Bluegrass) 🎸All the people here are the greatest. This music store is a little piece of history that Willie Wells is carrying on. 🎶

This place is great! Their luthier is awesome and very affordable. They have an awesome dance/performance hall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I live over an hour away, and this is now my go-to shop to have my banjo and guitars worked on. They got it done in like a week. I can't recommend this place enough

I've lived in the neighborhood for about 10 years I've passed by Bill's music shop quite a bit but I never stopped in. Tonight I was sitting home bored I was looking for something to do so I looked online for a music shop close by me because I play harmonica and like I said I was bored and I was looking for something to do and I walked in and lo and behold they had a country dance going and the band was really good the people were incredibly friendly especially Miss Louise we sat and talked for a few one of the nicest ladies I've met him many years she told me about how they opened the place back in 87 and I told her how the Lord saved my soul and has kept me from drinking for over 15 years. also they fed me they had a great spread of food going on. Anyway, I'm real glad I went and I'll go back for sure they told me they have open mic songwriters on Tuesday that sounds like something I'd like to do. I definitely hope that family is...

I went to Bills to buy some cables for our church sound system. They did not have them . I needed them for the next service at church. Bill, told me to hold on and he went and brought me 4 cables out of his personal equipment and let me use them. You do not find a place or person that will trust a stranger like he did. I took the cables back the and he would not take anything for letting me use them. If you ever need some type of musical instrument or help with one ,Bill, is a great man to go to for your needs and also to hear some great MUSIC and friends

Thanks again for your help, Carlus...
