This place is fantastic. You get to see two movies for the price of one, and the food and snacks are actually priced to be affordable!
The only thing I would recommend is wait two or three weeks before going to see a newly released movie here. It gets really crowded and occasionally with the crowds come the douchebags. It is a much more pleasant experience if you wait until the fervor dies down a bit before going to see a new movie.
To address some of the complaints:
Don't like smoking? Roll up your windows. (I am not a smoker, but if my husband and I encounter second-hand smoke while at the theatre, we just roll up our windows and turn on our AC to recirculate air within the car. It's not that hard.)
"They interrupt you all the time": No, they don't actually. They interrupt the movie, at most, twice. Once to give you a 15 minute warning that the snack bar is closing at midnight, and once to give you a 5 minute warning that the snack bar is closing. These interruptions occur at 11:45pm and 11:55pm, respectively. They last, at most, 5 seconds, and normally the first interruption comes during the credits of the first movie. They aren't a large inconvenience at all.
"The people in front of us made it so we couldn't see!": Then move your car. If there aren't any parking spots available during the first movie, at least 1/3 of people leave before the second, so there will be plenty of spaces to pick from for the second movie. You aren't forced to stay in the same spot for both movies. Just make sure that when you move you don't run over anyone who is sitting on the ground or in a...
Read moreStarted coming here during the pandemic because there was nothing else to do, and it was so great! The movies they showed were a mix of classic and new movies, and they always had the double features be different movies. Not sure what happened, but this year they are playing the same movie twice , and often the same movies at all of the screens. Why not show something classic, if there is nothing new to play? I would love to pay money to come see Jurassic Park or Lord of the Rings like I did back in the pandemic. My husband and I hate the stale popcorn so much that we go to the movie theater to get their popcorn and bring it to the drive in, but this isn't NEARLY as big of a nuisance as seeing Minions play back to back at all four screens. I don't get it. When the Goonies played a few years ago, it was the most packed I've ever seen this drive in. They are running this place to the ground. Also, they show "upcoming" movies that never actually come to the drive in. We waited a month for Nope to come to the drive in, and on opening day, they took it off of 'upcoming' movies and only played Thor at all four screens! Come on, this is the third weekend in a row of playing Thor and Minions. I'm not 10 years old, I need an actual...
Read moreA '0' STAR RATING IS MORE IN LINE!!! According to your website yesterday, Wednesday, September 2, 2020, there was no mention of any problems for Thursday, September 3, 2020. As my date and I pulled into your entrance we were kindly greeted by your staff and told that the entire drive-in was bought out by a company and no one else was allowed in and closed the the public. So after driving a full hour from Heber City and the expense of fuel we were turned away. There was no mention of the closure on Wednesday. I can promise that you're establishment knew long before the day prior that this was the case, but again, no mention on your website. I will not pleasure you with my feelings, at that moment, as I'm sure you can guess what I felt. I was cordial to your staff because they were not at fault. I love a good drive-in, and have for over 50 years. I've had nothing but good memories.. UNTIL NOW. My family of 10 siblings and my 11 grandchildren will NEVER return to the 'Redwood...
