The answer is simply, NO, ( my opinion).
I have been eating tacos my entire life, so I am a good judge of a buen taco.
We arrived around 9:30p. Friday night. The place was busy, but people came in and out just as fast. My order was for three people with an average of about four tacos each. 35-minute wait to get room temperature food.
The first mistake at Tacos Lopez was that the advertisement has Tijuana style tacos. You will find in my pictures that my tacos were, in fact, not Tijuana style. There is an added guacamole sauce to the tacos that makes them this style. None of the 12 plus tacos we ordered had this style. We ordered pastor, lengua, tripa, and asada tacos and quesadilla. No flavor in particular stood out. The tripa taco was stale as if it had been sitting around heat for too long. The pastor was mediocre at best, and the asada was probably the best out of the entire order. Their salsas were all meh, and none stood out. Each taco averages about $2.50 to $3.00 each. They are tiny tacos for that price. It's one of the tiniest tacos I've seen and ate in the valley.
At some point, after waiting for 30 minutes, I went to the counter and asked where my food was as I grew inpatient. I also asked why it was taking that long, and they said 'order of arrival,' but others got their food before, even the ones that arrived after me.
I was very unhappy for waiting and having to ask for my food after 35 minutes and for eating cold, tiny, not Tijuana style tacos. I don't think this place is worth the wait. It was also very dirty, both tables and floor. The restrooms were gross, and the floors were greasy all over.

Read moreWe didn't like this place at all. I am not sure of the hype. The food is exceptionally greasy! Inedible. Made us all sick. We went back a second time to give it one more shot, thinking maybe it was just that one time, but it was even worse the 2nd.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere is super loud because in the restaurant, everything echoes. I wasn't impressed with their service either. The second (and last) time we tried this restaurant I ordered to go so it was ready when I got there. The confirmation said it would be twenty minutes for the order and I got there after that time and they had no pickup line, you jut had to wait in line for everyone else and that was a lot. When I finally got to the counter to get our order, they said it would be another 15 minutes. It seemed like they had forgotten our order and put it in at the same time as everyone else's. I waited for 20 extra minutes there and hadn't heard my name, so I made my way back to the counter and then finally got our order. We will definitely not be going back to this place. The place is always packed with people so we thought it would be a good place but it wasn't for us. There are so many other good taco places in this area. We'll try the others and...
Read moreThis place is awesome for street tacos the food is fresh and tasty, they dont cook most of their food in grease the only thing I have seen them deep fry is the French fries, they make the tortillas fresh and you can stand there watching the person making tortilla after tortilla non stop and they are fast at it.. the open kitchen is nice cause you can watch how the food is being cooked and prepared, everything is made with great care and awesome teamwork, I was disappointed that they rose the prices of the tacos though, the salsa bar is great, you get a choice of like 5 different salsas of varying degrees of spice levels, the red one which is the spiciest is my favorite but I also like the orange one which also has a kick but it's more creamy tasting, the salsa bar also has raddishes and limes I do however wish that they put cilantro and maybe some shredded cabbage or even a pico de gallo would be great. The place is always busy, and it's amazing to see how the place has gained popularity, it does get quite loud and it is kind of unkempt in the dining area but don't let that discourage you from their...
