One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in my life. It was so dirty and disgusting. There were stains everywhere, from the carpet, to the walls, to the blinds, even the lamp shades. I was so horrified and grossed out. When I went to talk to the receptionist she seemed very indifferent and didn’t not care about my complaint. She said that they receive complaints like this all the time. I explained that I would like a different room and she said the only room left was a suite and she couldn’t give me that room because it costs more money. When I asked if I could get room service to do a deep clean she said she would try to get it to her manager and took a note, but said she probably won’t get it. That’s just great customer service. I have a horrible, gross, disgusting room and the best they can do for me is to write a note down on a piece of paper and possibly pass it on to her manager, never mind the fact that they didn’t offer me the suite. Any decent hotel place would have offered their customer the upgrade free of charge because it’s good customer service. Well, the note evidently got lost because they never deep cleaned the room or offered a different room. Oh, and they never replenished my shampoo either. I would never, ever, ever, recommend this place to anyone in good conscience to stay at. I wouldn’t even send my worst enemy here. I work for a very big company that does a lot of business here, and I showed them the pictures of my room and their going to black list this hotel. Below are the pictures of the room I stayed at.

We came into this place after a long day of traveling and the receptionist told us that our reservation had been “booked and canceled four times” which obviously seemed unlikely but we were exhausted so had just booked with them as a walk in. Of course getting charged WAY MORE than what we were supposed to pay. She proceeded to tell us that the hot tub was broken and that thier was only water for sale except an ice machine on the third floor which was nice since again -long day of traveling. Then we get to our room 214, and it smells HORRID. Like someone chain smoked for 100years. We had to sleep with the window open and the next morning I basically couldn’t breathe because that room is an allergy mine field. After a night in the horribly creaky beds and the light of day shining we get to see the full disgustingness of the room which includes red spot stains, wet spots, coffee (I’m hoping) hand prints on the door. I took a shower even to feel less gross and the bathtub nozel was like half falling off. Breakfast was as you would expect-over cooked and gross. Needless to say we checked out that morning.

Deda in the evening at the front desk is a ROCKSTAR! She is friendly, fast and personable. Even with a crowd of people trying to check in at the same time she never looked flustered and handled every reservation quickly with a smile and even took calls with ease. I would stay again just because of her positive attitude!! The hotel location is great, next to the Maverick Center and freeway on ramps. The rooms are very clean just a little outdated. The breakfast in the morning is also fantastic, they actually give you choices and everything is fresh. The deposit is a little high but they will take cash for the deposit. The higher deposit is worth every penny if it helps with keeping the hotel clean and staff friendly. Deda's supervisor is also a ROCKSTAR!! Friendly, professional and proud of her employees and hotel!!

I don't want anyone elses weekend ruined due to this hotel. So let me tell you just how bad this place was/is.

I showed up for a weekend away with the wife. We walked in and the front desk employee was short with us. She seemed to hate her job and was not frendly at all with up. She was so annoyed that we were trying to just check it.

We got our key to the room and went in. It was DISCUSTING!!!!!! There were stains all over the ground, the furniture, the walls, table, shower curtains, and everything else! There were holes all over in the walls and the window did not seal so we could hear the window really bad. There was even some black stuff in the bathtub. I think I was mold but I did not get close enought to know for sure.

We went to the front desk and told them just how bad the room was. Again, they were super annoyed and said to take pictures so we would get our $200 deposit back. WHAT!?!? I told them that I wanted a refund so I could go somewhere clean and have a nice weekend away with the wife. They said she needed to call the owner/manager and talk with them.

So they called the owner/manager and told them that we "did not like our room." They did not say how dirty it was, how there were holes in the wall, or any other issued we had. Just said we "did not like our room." I could kinda hear the owner/manager on the phone. He said that he would not give a refund and that we either needed a new room or just loose our money. He told the employee to look up the reservation and get up into one of the upgraded room. The employee looked on the computer and said there were three or four available. Then the owner/manager asked more details about the reservation and then said no, just move them to new room and not one of the upgraded room.

So the employee gets a key to a new room and takes up into it. We walked in and the room was still nasty. There were less stains but still had plenty around. There were no holes in the wall I guess so that was nice, NOT!! The window did not seal so the wind was annoying all night. Long story short, the wife and I did not have the money to just walk away from our reservation and go to a new hotel so we had to deal with it. It was the worse two nights ever.

So we get our stuff in the room but had to make sure it stayed on the leather chair cuz of the stains on the cloth furniture. Thank goodness we brought crocks and sandles so we didn't have to walk on the nasty carpet bearfooted.

After we got ready for our nice dinner out, we started to head to our vehicle. As we walked into the main lobby, there was another couple complaining about their room not looking like the pictures on line and how nasty their room was. The asked for a refund as well but the employee said all they would do is move them room. I don't know it played out for them cuz we left.

Fastward to our second night there. We had friends that made reservations there as well, I forgot to tell them to cancel and go somewhere else. They checked in and got all their stuff in hotel. We all then walked over to the Maverik Center. They asked us why we chose that hotel and started to complain to us just how bad their room was. Note, they were in a different room that the one we were originally in. They complained about all the same issues that we did. Stains, holes, window, ect. They decided to stay cuz we were there and had plans the next morning.

The next morning, they called up and said they did not sleep all night. They said that the room was so nasty they couldn't get comfortable, the loud noise coming from the unsealed window, and people running around the room upstairs and in the hallway kept them up all night. They ended up just going home so we didn't get to do any of our plans.

This place is nasty. I cant believe the Radisson puts their name on this hotel. The Radisson in downtown Salt Lake City is nice hotel. Thats why we chose this hotel. Take it from me, DO NOT STAY...

The property and rooms are excellent. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, with the exception of the owner. I don't quite understand what his issue is, but I had been staying there a couple weeks, and then one morning I went down to extend my room, I had accrued enough points with Choice Hotels to get 2 free night's stay, and the owner was at the desk this particular morning, and when he saw that I had made my reservation and paid for it with my points, he informed me that I cannot use points and that particular property, he said they don't accept points there. And that's rather interesting because the prior day I had paid for with my points, the general manager was the one at the desk that morning, and there was no problem whatsoever with using my points. Now, if it was policy and that property that they do not accept points there, I'm pretty sure that the general manager would know about this unusual "policy". Furthermore, I called Choice customer service line later that day to ask someone about the validity of this "policy" of that particular Choice property (NONE of the other Choice properties have such a "policy" in any way, shape, or form), and I was told that a property being part of Choice Hotels, CANNOT refuse the use of points by any customer to secure a room. So.... I don't quite understand..... I had NEVER been late on paying for my room (in fact I was always 100% of the time EARLY to pay for it), I was quite, and there were absolutely ZERO issues involving me in ANY regard. So I'd REALLY like an explanation as to why the owner flat out LIED to me that morning. That was EXTREMELY disrespectful and offensive. I checked out the following morning.

EDIT:

I returned to this property a couple weeks later, and it is now abundantly CLEAR that the owner/operations manager, whoever the hell he is and THINKS he is, is just simply biased for whatever reason, and a plain faced LIAR!! This time, after having been staying there for about a week , one morning I went down to extend as I did each morning, and was informed that they couldn't extend my stay...... As a result of some issues with the "POWER BILL", and that there were a few long term guests that wouldn't be able to renew (which was yet ANOTHER lie). Furthermore I was told that the decision was entirely out of their hands, and that is was in fact CHOICE who was doing it (again..... another lie, which I confirmed as a lie within the following hour when I called choice, they said they HAVE NEVER done such a thing at any of their properties, and wouldn't have the authority to do so anyway). So for whatever reason, he first LIED about "not accepting points" (which I KNEW was a total lie as he was speaking it to me), and then being unable to extend due to....... The POWER BILL???????? He clearly had something against me, I paid ON TIME ..... WITHOUT FAIL EVERY SINGLE DAY. I wasn't loud, I only ever had one visitor one day for about 10 minutes so it's not like I was partying. I never had ANY ISSUES WHATSOEVER with my cards being declined..... ZERO problems whatsoever ! So that just leaves some sort of unknown bias for unknown reasons....

RACIST perhaps? (I'm white and he is Indian (?) ... That's really all I can think of..... I was quite literally a MODEL TENNANT/GUEST! So as of this week, I have contacted an attorney, as well as I was advised to open a file with the ACLU...... AND ..... EVERY SINGLE TIME I checked out from there, he would find some TOTAL BULLSHIT LIE (again) TO KEEP MY $150 deposit!!!! But we'll definitely get to the bottom of this..... You can bet on that ! Also an interesting observation..... Notice there's not been any response to my review by anyone from the property "apologizing" and hoping they can make it right? Yeah..... Quite...

Well well well. I always liked to stay at country inn even though there are many issues with the hotel but I love the location. I've been staying at his hotel like twice a month since 2017. Even though I’m not happy with the hotel 100%, I still give them the chance to do better. This past weekend I stayed for two nights and this time I got extremely disappointed because one week before I stayed at the hotel they charged my credit card when the cancellation policy is VERY CLEAR that I still can canceled the reservation even the day of my arrival at 6:00pm, also they charged me two separate times after I left the hotel and they aren’t supposed to do this AT ALL. Then when I got there they assigned me a room 326 and none of the TVs worked in the room. I called the front desk and the lady who helped me out when I checked in told me "ok, I’m coming." I waited and waited for at least 20-30 minutes then I decided to go to the front Desk and when I got there the lady was chatting with a guy in a very comfortable way without thinking or planning on checking the TVs. She got surprised I got there and she looked at me like oops you got me. When I told her about the TVs she asked me to go and fix them myself. I told her that I had no idea about TVs and that I will prefer her to go, she didn’t like what I said but I think I paid for my room to be ready. She tried and tried and but the TVs didn’t work so I asked her to give me another room and finally she did, after I asked her a couple of times.

I stayed there for two nights. Check out is at 12 noon and the day I was leaving around 7:20 am the housekeeper came and literally opened my room door, thank God I had the latch on inside otherwise she would have entered my room. This is totally not ok and she invaded my privacy so I went outside my room and told the housekeeper that check out is at noon and that I will be leaving at noon so I don’t want to be bother again, I also said next time you need to knock the door and she said I did, which makes me more upset because I was by the door and she didn’t knock, she just open it up.

Since this hotel doesn’t have gym I went for a walk but after the experience of the housekeeper entering into my door without even knocking I went back to the hotel. Around 9:10 am again, I was sitting on the toilet and then the housekeeper open my door room again without even knocking again and I yelled at her that I was in there and that I already told her that I will be leaving at noon. So this really disappointed me because I felt invaded again. So after this incident I felt upset and I called the front desk. I told them what happened and the guy at the front desk didn’t even say sorry. He just said I will inform them again that you will be leaving at noon. So at this point I’m very dissatisfied and disappointed with the staff, service, accommodations and building structure conditions. Many people including staff were not wearing masks even though we are still in the middle of a pandemic. I am attaching some pictures of the conditions of the hotel, I’m very disappointed because they don’t take good care of the property and those things discourage the customers. Bathtub and sink didn’t drain Love sofas are already ripped out The housekeeper came and didn’t clean the coffee maker machine and make the bed partially. I have all these photos attached. It looks like it is time to look for...
