When I was little I loved hunting for rocks in the little creeks at Brookside Country Club. I once found an arrowhead with quartz in it and I felt like I had found gold. During summer trips to Lake Erie with my sister I found so many pretty rocks that I wanted to try tumbling. I bought a tumbler and the grit, watched videos, read books, and got frustrated because I wasn’t getting the results I wanted. I put it all away. My interest was peaked again recently when someone on Facebook (thank you!) suggested I check out a little lapidary shop in Westerville called Something Special. It’s a great little shop, chocked full of great things. Best part is the owner, I believe his name is Kevin, a mineralologist, who really knows his stuff. He made me want to try again. Read moreWow! What an amazing experience I had today. The owners of this shop that has been a Westerville “Hidden Treasure “ for a long time, are so kind. They are both so knowledgeable and very friendly. The business has been remodeled since the last time I was in there several years ago. There’s more light and it’s organized very well. When you walk in you can really tell and feel the energy. I can’t wait to go back again so much to see in so much to learn. I really hope this couple does great with their business. You can tell they love what they do. Please support them by stepping in and looking around. I normally don’t post anything like this about any business but I give it 10 stars. I can’t wait to wire up my stones that I...

The sticker is the kind that does not peel off easily even when being very careful. I didn't think this would be a problem - just a minor annoyance - until I tried to wash the sticky residue and it would not come off. I was worried using something coarse to scrub it off would scratch the crystal, so it took quite awhile to get it sticky free. Some crystals even had price writing directly on...
