I had high hopes for Air Espresso Coffee in Westerville, but my experience fell a bit short. The shop is in a cool historical building, which definitely adds some charm, but the space itself is very tight and crowded. If you’re hoping to sit, relax, or get some work done, this might not be the best spot — there was very limited seating and not much room to spread out.
When I visited (on a busy weekend), they were out of several key menu items — no blueberry, no matcha, and no food options available at the time. It was disappointing, especially on a weekend when you’d expect them to be fully stocked. I’m not sure why a place wouldn’t plan better for their busiest days.
Overall, while the location has some character, the lack of space, limited menu availability, and no food made it hard for me to enjoy the visit. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a spot to sit and sip while you read or work or just...
Read moreThis is a cute coffee shop and helpful staff however I was taken back when I say the Ipad screen said $9.40 for a small latte. I paid for it regretfully but was eager to try a latte worth that much. When I saw it on the counter it did not match the picture on the wall. I ordered the Backlav latte and it had half cinnamon on the cold foam and didn’t look like the backlav latte photo. The thing that makes me give this a two star review is the fact that all the syrup was sitting at the bottom of the cup. I was a barista at starbucks for a while and it is well known to mix espresso with the syrup before including the ice or milk. So as I sipped on the drink I was getting a mouthful of straight syrup from the bottom. I would definitely not market this small drink at $9.40, maybe $4.59 given the poor quality and lack of knowledge of how to...
Read moreDelicious coffee at reasonable prices (compared to other shops around at least, coffee is expensive everywhere!). Wonderful small shop atmosphere with plenty of Turkish delicacies to choose from. I personally tried to smooth ride, which was a delicious cold mocha and vanilla espresso drink. Service was splendid. I was privileged enough to speak to the owner who passionately roasts his own espresso and, although admitting he might be biased, believes it to be the best he has ever tried. He allowed me a sample of his espresso, which he had roasted 3 days before. The fresh toasty flavor was quite evident, being that it was quite fresh, but the notes of flavor were undeniably present, I just do not have the pallet to identify them. Great experience all in all. Outside seating on a beautiful day in downtown Westerville is certainly a...
