I planned this candle making experience with our kids to celebrate my husband's birthday yesterday! My daughter and SIL live in Westerville, and uptown has so much to offer so we wanted to do something in the area. We had checked out this place last year during a fourth Friday but didn’t really have much time to spend in the shop, and knew we wanted to come back sometime to make candles:) It was as awesome as we thought it would be! Denise, the owner, was lovely, and had lots of patience and helpful tips for us newbies. It was like releasing a bunch of squirrels in a nut factory😂 Our mission was an olfactory one, to write down 5-6 of the scents we were drawn to, and pick a vessel for our candle. Thank goodness Denise could help us make sense of the scents:) At least what would be compatible in a candle, based on what we liked. It was a very fun process, and so interesting to see how everyone had their own unique combination. There were also many lovely holiday scents as well. We can’t wait to pick up our candles (they do take a little time to set up with the wax before you can take them, and we were there in the afternoon). They also make wonderful hand soaps and sugar scrub, which we got to try at the sinks, def need to order some of that! And Denise was telling us about some of the upcoming events, which sound very fun, so hopefully we can make it back for one of those in the future. We would all highly recommend this shop, such a fun, interesting, and relaxing process with nice people, and as a bonus, she offered to take a couple pics of our group, which made for a great memory of the...

My wife and I are incredibly lucky to stumble upon this place. I made a reservation to have a date night. I have made "custom" or "personalized" handcrafted products in the past, but these products are superior quality. There were more than 50 fragrances displayed and I am certain there are more than that to choose from. The cool aspect about this business is that you get to decide what scents and also the amount of concentration you add. This allows for your candle to truly be customized, because you are choosing the potency and not given a recipe or guide. Another characteristic about this business that I respect is the products are all health conscious. The wicks, wax, and oils, did not appear to contain any harmful ingredients and are safe to burn in your home. Currently burning the candle in our home and I am impressed with how strong the smell is. It is the perfect strength and not overwhelming. I can smell all the notes I added to my candle. What a hidden gem! This shop is so much fun and is truly made incredible by its owner, Denise. She greeted us with a smile and immediately made us feel welcome. We were in from out of town and we wandered into this beautifully decorated candle shop. Little did we know it was a make your own fragrance experience. Denise walked us through the process step by step. I made a lovely scent that I put into a diffuser. There were so many options to choose from and so many rich, high quality, scents. You could create the perfect scent by mixing whatever you’d like in whatever proportion you’d like. This experience was the highlight of our day! Denise talked to us about other fun places to visit in Westerville and in Columbus. She is so passionate about her town and about her business. We can’t wait to go back again and bring friends!!
