We would never bring an animal here again. We brought our 7 year old dog in for a tooth cleaning and after a few hours they called me and said they didn't feel his teeth were the problem and they didn't feel he should be put under anesthesia. Yet, they told us to bring him back the following week for an ultrasound and they would need to put him under anesthesia. How was that ok to put him under from one week to the next? They told us his lymph nodes, liver and spleen were enlarged and he had some fluid in his abdomen. He wasn't eating and we saw changes in him. He had a fever and swelling. Yet, they told us they felt it was an infection and sent him home with antibiotics. They were going to do a tick panel. They mentioned possible cancer a few times but when I asked them to be honest they said the tick panel was negative and inconclusive. He threw up the antibiotics and when I told them, they said they felt he was critical at that point and we should take him to the 24 hour hospital. How did he suddenly go from an infection to critical? That was on a Tuesday and our dog was dead on Friday. They put him under anesthesia and he went from being ok to dying! He had clear signs of Lymphoma! They see animals every day. Don't tell me it was inconclusive and they didn't know what was wrong!! My daughter paid over 1300 dollars only to have to watch her dog suffer terribly. We are so heartbroken and all they could say was oh I'm sorry we don't know. Sometimes you can do all the tests and still not have answers. Such a cop out and a bunch of nonsense! They knew damn well what was wrong!! I don't know how you people sleep at night knowing you're lying to pet owners and just want to do more tests to make more money. I hope you feel good knowing you took money from a kid and now she lost her best friend! Chewy.com and People For Animals sent flowers and a beautiful handwritten condolence card. You people didn't even have the decency to respond to my email. There was no true compassion or concern...
Read moreAnother visit with a continuation of incompetence and errors (with two shining stars of vets). Firstly, Dr Jablecki and DeSimone are absolutely outstanding and always take care of our dogs, faultless. However, unfortunately based off our previous experiences that is the only positives I can say so far. We have been coming here for a year now and every single visit has had at least one mistake made on their part which should categorically not have happened, I feel every time we leave, we have to check everything thoroughly for other faults now. The first time, with a different vet than our usual, he missed a vaccination for one of our puppies after telling us the puppy didnt need it, even after us explicitly stating he did. We then received a call on our way home expressing they had made a mistake, so we had to turn around and come back to get it done. During the appt, we received an overly zealous, relentless sales pitch from him on heartworm injections after stating our distinerest of the subject because our dog was too young. The second time we were ridiculously over charged for an examination that occurred two weeks after our previous, even with our vet stating it was just a tech visit - boy was fighting for our money back on that one fun. Finally for our most recent visit we have received a completely wrong dosage for one of our dogs for heartworm because they both weigh differently, and require different dosages. Luckily the tablets are on the smaller end and our dog weighs more than the dosage states. I have heard amazing things about this place and cannot state how great both Dr DeSimone and Jablecki are - but unfortunately the communication, care and attentiveness from the company is not...
Read more0 stars I have a 2 year old dog with epilepsy who sees a neurologist & must take seizure medication daily for life. He has extreme vet anxiety which can trigger a seizure. I believed Dr. DeSimone had a good understanding & compassion for my pet's condition & although she doesn't do neutering herself, she assured me she would make sure he was handled carefully & with as little stress as possible. I called & emailed her several times the week of surgery to ensure there was a plan in place for him that the neurologist & vet performing surgery were both comfortable with but received no response from her. The morning of surgery I arrived at 8am & a tech came to take my dog. She informed me that surgery was not until lunch time. I asked to speak with Dr. DeSimone but was told she was too busy to talk to me, even though there was no one else there. I expressed that the stress of waiting 4 hours for surgery in a kennel could cause a seizure & asked again to see the vet. Clearly the tech had no clue as to his condition. I requested 3 or 4 times to speak with Dr. DeSimone, it was clear that I was uncomfortable and upset & each time the staff came back to tell me with no expression that she was too busy. I left with my dog because it was clear there was no plan in place for handling his condition. No one bothered to ask me not to leave or follow up after I was gone. I actually gave this place a second chance even though Dr. Loomis misdiagnosed my now deceased dog with pink eye & then lyme's disease, even though he clearly had a neurologic condition going on & collapsed and died a few weeks later. Don't even get me started on the hold time to speak with someone. No wonder there is a constant...
