I went in to purchase some small screws for a multi rotor brand they don't sell. I know they sell small screws though. After a few minutes of two people doing nothing but shelving in an empty store no customers. Some one ask what I was looking for, I answered some tiny screws. Then I was asked for what and I told them for a mount on my multi rotor. Then I was asked what brand and I told them the brand and that they didn't carry it. Well then I was dismissed. I then asked "Could you help me find some time you screws? " Only then was I approached and the screw I had examined. Then I was told that they don't carry that brand of quad. I replied " I know that but you do have screws that size. " The I was pointed to a vast array of packages and told there are the screws. This is when I said could you help me find it? Again I was told that they don't carry that brand, and was then left so he could go back to putting things bsck on a shelf. I said that there are thousands of screws here could you help me. Then I was rudely told the he didn't know where they were I would just have to look. The store was empty and two employees didn't even try to help . I said that they could help me look and again I was told how was he supposed to know where they were I replied you stock this place you could help narrow it down and then he got indignant and told me he didn't have them and good luck. Now this is where things turned around. On my way out the Cashier ask if I found everything ok and I relayed the story and asked for the manager. He replied the manager wasn't here but the owner was. Great I said. The owner came up quickly I told my story halfway through the first guy came off his ladder and to the front to defend his rudeness. The owner look at my screw and tried to figure something out. Then the Cashier went and returned shortly with a bag of screws that had exactly the size I wanted. Read moreJacob was extremely unhelpful! I was told by numerous employees that they will work on the rc in your presence for $40 an hour. Like I said, talked to numerous employees. chris, jacob, noah. All 3 of them told me to come in Monday through Friday during the day and it would be no problem. jacob even told me wensday would be best. So I called ahead even, and jacob was in at 1:00 PM. I showed up around 1:30 PM and again jacob told me to my face it was all good. 5 minutes later he is there with someone else who REFUSED TO IDENTIFY HIMSELF!! ILLEGAL. THEN THIS "manager" FLAT OUT REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE OWNERS NAME EVEN LET ALONE THE CONTACT INFORMATION. AGAIN, PRETTY SURE ILLEGAL!!! I'm handicapped so it even took me 2 trips to the car because my right hand is promised to my cane. Read morePurchase here at your peril. The HobbyTown Westminster location does not honor their own return policy. I bought a part here and it worked only a few times before failing. The part was completely dead, so I replaced it by buying another from a different vendor. The second one worked perfectly and is still working just fine. I brought the bad part in for a refund. It had only been maybe 2 weeks since I bought it, so it was well within the 30-day return window. When I brought the part to an associate, I explained what happened and was told I would be able to return the part. He walked me to the register, but when he mentioned what I needed another associate said they do not accept returns for this particular brand. They said I had to call the manufacturer and try to get a refund from them, which is a nonsensical thing to say. Another associate opened the web site for the manufacturer and was reading off the RMA/repair process to me, but I did not want an RMA or a repair. This was a new part that barely worked and is now completely dead. I wanted a refund. After several minutes of them talking around me as if I was not standing there, I told them that I was not at all interested in jumping through all those hoops. I left the broken part and the receipt on the counter and I walked out. This is a $90 part. Because they did not want to work with me at all for the return, they will lose all future business from me. That $90 will cost them thousands of dollars in future business. There are other HobbyTown locations that have different owners and I will just go there instead, plus I am posting this review hoping that others will see this and take their business elsewhere.
