Silver Bullet Shooting Range — Attraction in Wheat Ridge

Came here to do training as I am getting a career in law-enforcement. The trainer I met him at an inconvenience but he’s noticed I was carrying a handgun he asked me if I knew how to use it and I said a little bit. I then explain to him that I was getting a career in law-enforcement and he offered to show me some tricks can you get me prepared for the Academy. After a few days I finally pull the trigger and I scheduled my time with him, I get there recognizes me in an instant and was glad to see my face. Will get right to it going over procedure policies the rules fundamentals and we went to train. This guy is very knowledgeable he saw all the little things I didn’t see that I was doing and pointed them out and told me how I could correct them. We went to the range I was shooting low right which every left-handed shooter does almost. My groupings are not that great, after he noticed a few things we made some adjustments and slowly my shots started getting more towards the center and groupings were a little bit better. I do have bad recoil anticipation he just told me to dry fire as much as I could in order to train my brain to not to anticipate a recoil. I’m fairly familiar with firearms, having two brothers, I used to go with them often in FL. Of course I definitely still have so much to learn.

We had just gotten our new Taurus G2C and it was our first time at this range. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I went with my husband and his friend, both of them are not as familiar with firearms. In general, as a female, i feel intimidated going into ranges (especially without my brothers).

Anyway, my experience was beyond my expectations. The atmosphere is simple and quaint, the staff is outstanding! I felt immediately comfortable. I wish I would’ve gotten the name of the gentleman who was so helpful. He was genuinely excited for us regarding our new pistol, even took the time to highlight its features. He mentioned how he really liked Taurus guns, he himself had one on his hip.

By the time we got our lane, we were the only ones in there. Since it was our first time firing our pistol, it got stuck a couple of times and I had asked for his assistance. He came by, felt no judgement, lots of knowledge and presented helpful advice without being condescending.

Finally came back here after years of strictly using outdoor ranges and was incredibly disappointed. Little to no ventilation, and incredibly rude staff. They gave us a broken lane and charged us for damages to the lane, and when we confronted them about it they were unnecessarily hostile about the situation and said that we had to prove that it was broken before we used it (even though they had cameras at every range). Never had such a bad experience at a range before, would definitely take your business elsewhere.

Response: I did not come at you argumentative, I simply matched your energy which was immediately aggressive. Our range beyond after the second round of use, and the fact that you refused to pull up camera footage for a customer is not how anyone should respect a guest in your "home". Either way, doesn't matter because I'll certainly never come back with the rudeness and inconsiderateness you provide to your patrons. There's plenty of other ranges in town, and I'll be sure to let everyone know how you really operate...
