Wow, Family Tree stole Christmas this year. I think somebody got greedy 😢family tree normally will help a family out at Christmas time a family in need and normally Family Tree comes through and I mean comes through in a BIG way!!!. How it works, clients are adopted by a family the family writes a list of what they want per child as well as clothes size, shoe size, and shirt size the family is asked what needs they need. Then the person who adopts our family will go out to buy it for our family and give us our gifts our needs and whatever else they want to give us as the adoptive family normally does even going out of their way to do the little extra!! Our family normally gets everything that they want and more. Well, this year Family Tree decided that they wanted to be a little bit “more personal” and let the family get to shop around and pick out what they wanted. Well, it was anything but that the experience was so horrible. They did not have much for the kids very little to pick from normally the kids get two or three presents each and I mean good presents this year they got a pick one present each maybe two if the present was small enough, they didn’t get the normal clothes that the adopted family normally helps with and the parent did not get anything either. This is a sad, sad situation, because, in my heart, I do believe that the person behind this is being greedy, and most likely taking all the gifts that are for the adoptive family, and keeping it for herself or himself and their families, as I said before people like me need this help. I have a big family and we rely on this for Christmas. I sure do hope Family Tree goes back to adopting a family where the clients get what they ask for and the kids are happy the parents are happy and it is an awesome Christmas please don’t think that I don’t appreciate it. I just feel that somebody got greedy and I pray that they get caught, but even if they don’t get caught just know God is watching you and he knows your intent also, I hope that the families do not donate anymore unless they know that the clients are getting the gifts they are buying to the actual family who needs it. Just a quick thought Family Tree had said they changed it so the families could be more involved in the shopping they had nothing there for teens and gave them a $25 gift card. Did they not think well Gee the family should adopt them so everybody gets what they want instead of oh well the teens let’s just give them $25? Teenagers need love too. I think an investigation needs to be done on the person in charge of gifts received and the gifts that are being given...who knows maybe now this may expose who is behind this sad shopping idea and they will put out all the gifts that were for families that were adopted and not...

I am a victim of Domestic Violence and sexual assault so I needed a safe and supportive place to be in, so I left my abuser mind you we shared an apartment together. So I left our home and him to come and stay at Family Trees safehouse, thinking I did the right thing but little did I know I was actually making a terrible mistake by deciding to stay here. First of all you share a room with 3 other women. Ok that was difficult for me to adjust to, but even worse is the STAFF. Yes you heard me correctly, I said the STAFF is anything but professional and understanding and caring. They are insensitive, condescending, rude, hateful, and NOT supportive one ounce to what I was going through. Every time I asked a staff employee a question or if I needed something it literally felt like I was in the wrong for asking them a question or help, which they should just be to doing their damn job. They make you feel like a burden. So if that wasn't all bad enough it totally gets worse....... remember I mentioned that we are required to share rooms with 3 other women, well one of the women that was in the room with me was a complete drug addict and was smoking fentanyl in the room in front of the 3 of us. I then told staff what she was doing and they told me they couldn't do ANYTHING about her smoking fentanyl in front of us in the same room. So I literally had to breathe in fentanyl fumes. Wait, I'm not done yet... fentanyl chick ends up stealing some of mine and another woman's clothes and NOTHING was done about that either. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND FAMILY TREES SAFEHOUSE OR IT'S SERVICES TO ANYONE BECAUSE OF MY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE THERE. If you're desperately needing help and a safe place to be because of Domestic Violence PLEASE DON'T CALL FAMILY TREE FOR ANY HELP BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET IT I...

My Family was in the Goals program. There was an incident at the Family voice meeting where a staff member, Teresa went off on a resident for stating to leave enough food for the next family because you might not know if they have. Teresa(staff) went off on the resident screaming and clapping her fist together, about the immigrants staying at the shelter and how she stands behind hers “Mexican all the way!!”. Teresa came to my room and said to fill out a grievance if I wanted to. I did submit the grievance. Susy, the Vice president of the shelter came and wanted to meet with me and discuss what happened at the family voice meeting. She said Teresa had the right to stand up for her Mexicans..Two days later Susy & Terry call me in and say I have 30 minutes to pack my bags and get out. They said there is reports of me being aggressive but they can’t tell me who or why or when.(I NEVER had ONE disagreement or any type of anything with anyone at Goals or within the shelter) It snowed that night and me and my 4 & 7 year old sons slept in a vehicle the next few days. Please look for another organization. They will leave you mentally exhausted and worst then you were before you got there. Mrs. Cindy is a Angel on Earth. My kids had to change schools 3 times last semester because of us going into the program and then getting kicked out for no reason. My poor babies went thru way more than they needed to, &...
