Great butcher with fresh meats and they also carry sides. I always get there peppered bacon it is the best if you cook it in the oven on a baking rack. I would also suggest grabbing a thing of their chocolate milk what is the best chocolate milk you’ll ever taste. They have meat bundles ranging anywhere from 35 to 250+ dollars you can also pick and choose whatever kind of meat you want. They have told me in the past that their ice cream is local and hand turned but I haven’t had a chance to try it. All their bison is sourced locally.

Update: they have a community fridge and pantry on site If you are trying to eat local and responsibly raised meat, this is the spot! Their prices are more than fair (comparable to Soopers) for the noticeably greater quality. The owners and employees are helpful. They have all kinds of beef cuts, chicken breast, tons of different marinaded bacon, bit of local produce depending on the day, ect.

A nice place for meats. Succulent meats. Reasonably priced meats. The cheddar jalapeño bratwurst was a delight and filled with spice. The selection was vast. I was fond of the poultry selection. Succulent poultry makes a great meal. High five the poultry. Support local. Well worth the visit.

My family and I participated in a special sale they recently had on 5 lbs of ground beef. You had to order ahead and pick up at a later date. My Dad and Brother happen to have the same name. When I took my dad in to pick up his part he purchased we let them know that one was My brother and one was my dad's and my brother would be in later to pick his up. The person at the counter said OK sounds good and we left. My brother went in 2 days later to pick his up. The older bald guy at the counter decided that both had already been picked up. Telling him that he had already came in that. His brother must have already picked it up that he was lying that the meat wasn't his anymore. That both packages were picked up by us. It turned into a huge issue because he said Well there's 2 people with your name. And it looks like both already picked up. He continued to be rude even after my brother explained to him that him and my dad both have the same name that my dad had gone in the day before and picked up his and my brother was there to pick up his own. Mind you this was all paid for ahead of time. The guy behind the counter finally just took the meat put it on top of the counter and walked away and said nothing else. News flash for the staff. There is allot of cultures that name their kids after their fathers and in the future I would suggest a better way of keeping track of orders that were picked up and were not and working on your customer service skills of the people working your front end of your shop. We'll be sticking to other meat places after this incident it's sad cause we've come...

(By the way, these reviews average to a 3.8, not a 4.2.)

We have been loyal customers for 40 years, now driving 40 miles to pick up large orders of meat ($500 range). The meat is top quality, and the butcher, Steve, could not be more wonderful. If it were for Steve and the quality of the product, I would rate this business a 5. Unfortunately, as several people have already mentioned, the owner, Francine, is so rude that I don't know if I can continue dealing with her. What a sad thing for a wonderful business to be purchased by someone whose customer service skills are nonexistent. I have NEVER done business with an owner who abuses her customers, which is what Francine does. After yelling at me for a few minutes when I tried to place my order with Steve, who doesn't abuse me, she hung up on me. Apparently, after reading these reviews, that's her MO. Can you even imagine a business owner hanging up on a customer? With her being the owner, what can one do? If it's this bad for customers trying to deal with her, imagine what the poor employees go through. Francine clearly has some problems and I hope she can work them out without abusing her most loyal customers. Bullies should not have anything to do with customer service. ...

I called into the butcher at 2:38 pm and a young lady answered the phone I asked if they had a 2-3 bone prime rib in stock. She said hold on and she would need to check. A minute later a gentleman answers and asks why I am calling. I asked him if they had any 2-3 bone prime rib in stock. He said yes. I then asked if I needed to reserve one. He said no that they had a lot and would not run out. I told him I would be in later today. I then walked to the butcher about a half mile away. My wife and I arrived there at 3:58 pm and it looked like they were getting ready to close shop because they had nothing in the case. I asked the man behind the counter for a 2-3 bone prime rib and he asked if I already ordered one. I told him no, but that I had called earlier and was told they had plenty. He then left for about 5-10 mins and came back and said they had no bone in prime rib and only had a boneless rib roast. I'm not sure why the first person lied to me, but you have lost business. I should have read their other reviews and believed them about the lying to customers and shady business practices. It's not hard to...
