The best, definitely my favorite theatre and will be back!! I came here instead of locally (Pittsburgh) due to the seats looking more comfortable AND being able to get box seating. This review is specifically for Box seats since there arent any reviews on them. The speakers are close but it was never too loud, sound was perfect the entire time. As you can see from the photos the seats are movable stand alone chairs that provide an incredible eye level view since the box sits high as the stage basically. I sat in Box B (seats 1&2) and yes some of the stage/performance was not viewable to the back right but that did not matter to me. It is so nice being able to move your chair to angle it to see the stage without having to keep your head turned completely and to be able to move the chair to have more elbow / leg room. The only downside for some people could be that these chairs do have armrests BUT you can ask for an armless chair (padded) when you get there. I am all about comfort and these seats are well worth the price, it was the first time I thoroughly got to enjoy a show without feeling uncomfortable, thanks Capitol Theatre!!! (Review from Dec 9 2023) Yes there are concessions and they take cards as well. PS bring cash in case they have raffles or after-event artist interactions/photos. I parked at 10th street parking garage for $5, cash only. Entrance to garage is on "Lane 38" (turn left at light on 10th St./Market St. & stay left for Lane 38). The garage exit is on 10th street though, which after an event takes some...
Read moreMy wife and I went to the Gary Allen concert here on March 24th!!! And WOW WOW WOW!!! We had good seats, but there wasn’t a bad seat,I believe,in this theater. This obviously was our first time here at the Capital, and it was just awesome. I’d come back here a million times to enjoy concerts, comedy shows or just about anything that would be put on here!!! Parking in the very close parking garage was only $5!!! Five bucks to park to see a concert, totally floored my wife and I,and beer was $6 for a 16 oz,$6 for a single mixed drink and $10 for a double!!! OMG!!! The other venues in the areas, need to take a lesson, cause we didn’t have to take out a loan just to park or have a couple drinks and the concert here was FREAKING AWESOME!!! Gary Allen put on a FREAKING AWESOME,and I mean,FREAKING AWESOME concert!!! I’d go see him a million times here if I could. So if you get the chance to enjoy whatever floats your boat here…..GO GO GO,cause you will NOT be disappointed...
Read moreWe pulled into Wheeling and hit the horrid roads leading up to the theatre and instantly thought "what kind of dump is this going to be?". Surprisingly the theatre was nice in the classic theatre sense. A beautiful old building. The staff was friendly, helpful, and hard working. They were an absolute pleasure. We got to the Seinfeld show early and were ushered into the "ballroom" for overpriced flatbread pizza and water. They also sold the local and domestic faves of beer and wine. The actual theatre was lovely. The lighting and sound were perfect. The show started about 25 minutes late as the local yokels continued to file in past showtime (7pm). Once the show started things moved relatively flawlessly. My only real issue with the theatre was that the seats are snug. Several overweight people had to sit in the aisles in folding chairs because the theatre seats were unaccommodating. A nice time was...
