First of all, most new vinyl comes from digital sources. Why anyone would want to buy a digitally sourced product on an analog format is beyond me but, to each his own. My daughter and I waited on a very cold, breezy, mid 40's morning for more than an hour so she could pick up a new Taylor Swift record on record day. Once we got inside we found that they were only allowing 2 people at a time to go into a separate room where shoppers were taken 2 at a time and given something like 10 minutes to shop when 90% of the patrons knew what they were after before they ever went in. Then once we got in, we found out that we had to wait while 20 people were ahead of us, and they were taking 2 at a time. We were looking at another hour. And there seemed to be a dozen employees there, most of which had nothing to do. We didn't have time to wait and had to leave after all that time spent waiting to get in. Be aware if you come on record day, you have to wait in line for an hour, and then wait in line for another hour. Stupidity at its worst. Can I rate negative stars? Here's a thought. A separate line for patrons who want the hot item. Let them have their item and then if they want to spend another hour there they can. Or maybe just put them out where patrons can pick up a copy, check out and leave. Fair? Not even slightly. Whatever the owner or management team says, there was just no point in making us wait to get one item before we had to leave town. Yes, believe it or not, some people don't have the time to spend 2 hours waiting on line. And when you wait in line for an hour before you learn of this other line, it can really make for hard feelings. It's a store dude, I understand the need to keep it from becoming too crowded, but to make people who already know what they want wait around for other people to browse when it's not necessary can only be as a result of overthinking, or the belief that giving people nothing to do up there for an hour will result in them spending more money. I just wanted the stupid record. We had numbered tickets. There's...
Read moreI made my first visit to this place just yesterday after getting email notification that a title I was after came back in stock. I was blown away by this little gem of a store. Such a welcoming environment and every single person I encountered was so kind and patient, and genuinely grateful to have support. Moments after I drove away with my new finds I placed another order with them. I returned for RSD this morning and the experience was just as wonderful. Walking into this place, I feel able to take a break from the dark age we are living in and travel back to simpler times. No one here is judging your taste in music or asking you to name 3 songs from the band on your shirt to prove you're a fan. Just other lovers of music happy to have...
