New Silverbowl Park — Attraction in Whitney

This place has potential. It's not super busy, there are large fields for soccer practice without the crowding that Heritage park has. The fields have been rough but I think they're working on getting them evened out. The parking lot is really rough but plentiful. There is a pretty decent playground with separate toddler and big kid areas, swings and picnic tables. The fields are surrounded by fencing but the playground isn't. There are bathrooms but I've never attempted...

It's a way out in the boonies, seldom visited, baseball park/dog park. The grass is green; the drinking water warm. It seems to me that it costs an awful lot to keep those fields green. My question is why bother when so few frequent it.

The fields are large and great to walk around and get some exercise. Lots of young sports events held here. The only complaint is the number of lazy people attending those events that are disgusting and throw trash on the ground instead of in the dozens on trash cans located all over the fields.
