Alley Cat Vintage Mercantile — Attraction in Wichita Falls

This place blew my mind. I felt like we were walking through a time machine. A friend recommended this place a few weeks ago so I went with family who were in town to visit. We had such a great time that I returned later that week with my husband because I had to share our experience. Both visits were so much fun. We lost track of time walking through the huge building talking about the gems we found. I was surprised to see that just because they use the word "vintage" didn't mean they charged an arm and a leg to take something home. The women even reduced the price of the clarinet I had found when she saw how excited I was about it. The cats were the best part. I used to love this place, employees were always super nice, never had an issue. But last time I went I wanted to buy something that had a lot of pieces to it, really heavy and I just couldn't do it by myself. So I went to the the register to ask for help. The girl at the register was kind of annoyed when I told her I needed help in finding the price for it and help in bringing it to the register. She asked me to show her what it was so I took her there. Found the price and when I told her I wanted to buy it she rolled her eyes and told me she couldn't help me at the moment cause she was busy with a big order. MOST UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN AN ANTIQUE MALL! I was here with my family on August 2, 2022. I asked to see an embroidered eagle wall hanging in the front case where you check out. We asked if we could look at this item. An employee took it out of the case and held the item and talked about it and then walked 15 feet away from us and handed this item to their friend to look at on the other side of the check out counter. We never got to look at it upclose as we wanted to buy it. I have never been so offended in my life in an antique store before. We just stood there in shock.
