Raco Watch and Jewelry — Attraction in Wilkes-Barre Township

Purchased an engagement ring from this locally owned store after being advised from a family friend. Guys, listen up, I am not a big fan of the wedding industry. I think there are certain players who take advantage of couples looking to make "the wedding of your dreams" - i.e. spend the most amount of money possible. Despite my reluctance to make such a large purchase for a rock held by a piece of metal, I am now very pleased with the outcome of the custom made engagement ring used to court my now fiance. Here is why:

1. The owner is legit. He is a certified gemologist, with lots of experience in all sorts of jewelry. Any question you have he can answer. PLUS this is a small business.
2. Professionalism. I felt no pressure to make a big purchase. They were there to make suggestions to fit my needs.
3. Fair prices. After I was quoted for what diamond I wanted, I spent a fair bit of research trying to beat the price. At the end of it, I was happy to know I wasn't even close to being ripped off, possibly even saving money. They will give you an honest and fair price.
4. Wide selection and multiple companies' designs. I know nothing about women's style, let alone ring types and such. What I do know is they had plenty of styles and ring mount types for whatever your girlfriend might want (or whatever you...

It's very sad in today's day and age with the country and the finances in the situation they are that you can't even count on one of your local community jewelers to support you. A friend of mine was here the other day to sell a piece of gold jewelry, they offered her $1,000, she turned it down. She then proceeded to go to Rainbow Jewelers in Kingston, same piece of jewelry, they offered her and gave her over $2,000! Nice, genuine family business. You can tell that the owner definitely takes pride in presentation and quite knowledgeable in this field.
