Lakeview Lodge is one of those rare spots that manages to be both lively and laid-back. The setting couldn’t be better—it’s perched right along the shoreline, with a beach park that feels like it was made for unwinding. Whether you’re stopping by to grab a bite, enjoy a drink, or just breathe in that lake breeze, the atmosphere is equal parts welcoming and refreshing.
One thing that really stands out is the view. The sunsets here are unreal, painting the sky with colors that make you stop mid-conversation just to soak it in. If anything, I’d say the property is begging for a little dedicated sunset-viewing nook—maybe some benches or a cozy firepit spot closer to the shoreline. It would turn an already amazing feature into a signature experience.
The staff is friendly without being overbearing, and the space itself strikes a good balance between being well-kept and not overly polished—you still feel connected to nature. Families, couples, and even solo visitors will all find their own reasons to keep coming back.
Overall, Lakeview Lodge nails that “hidden gem” vibe: city convenience meets lakeside escape. If you’re nearby and looking for a place to relax, recharge, and maybe snap your new favorite sunset...
Read moreI have been to the sunset numerous times. This wasn't the best, but it still happened. It started raining while I was waiting so I sat in the car. Of course the rain seemed to stop after I got to the car. I was texting my friend about the scene. It is such a peaceful way to end a day. It started to storm then. It was also awesome to see the rain come across the lake.
I don't go to the lodge as much as I did before. I had a very good friend who would meet me there and we just passed the time talking, making friends with the dogs and their humans. We had "our own" bench. We thought about carving our initials in it for posterity. Unfortunately my friend died suddenly about a year and a half ago. Now it is very difficult for me to go there. I do stop occasionally to walk, but I pretty much stay clear of "our bench". I have such good fond memories of our times together there. It is now not quite the same...
Read moreI called on Friday to reserve this place. The date was open. I wanted to see it first, so I asked them to hold the date so I could check it out. Went to see it yesterday (Tuesday) and called today (Wednesday) to go ahead and reserve and now they told me it has been booked. They lied to me and didn't save the date. I suspect it was already booked before. Not worth it. They aren't organized and it took me an hour to get anyone one the phone today at 2:30. Not efficient and not organized. Don't hang important events on booking these places. They aren't organized and you might be out of a place on the day...
