ALDI — Local services in Willowick

The decision to replace all but one counter with self checkout, card only is not very customer forward. I don't understand why they couldn't at least added the option so you could pay with cash like other self checkouts, or have someone at the cash register at all times. I came in today and had a ton of groceries. There was no one to be found at the ONLY human register so I went to self checkout as I had no other choice. I could barely fit my groceries on the scale thing, and my stuff fell everywhere; it was really frustrating. Then I go to pay and it says it is card only and I had cash only. So I had to pack all my stuff back up, head over and wait for a cashier. And when she rang me up my total was $3 higher than at self checkout. I was so frustrated I just paid it anyway and left. I love my local Aldi! Its clean and organized. The employees are always stocking items and so helpful when you ask where something is. They quit stocking where they're at and will walk you over to what you're looking for. The produce selection is great and everything is fresh and ripe. Great selections of different meats. I love how they have the Fit & Light brands of healthy foods and snacks. Impressed with the low prices on organic produce. If you see only one cashier and the line now has more than 3 people in it, have no fear, they call backup cashiers to the front. In and out so quickly and I dont have to ring up my own stuff and then wait for an employee to come fix the register for beeping even when I haven't made an error. I love...

Love Aldi stores, but this one is usually not my favorite due to a lack of organization and pricing signage. They are also slow at opening additional registers when the line(s) get long as they were on this visit (yesterday evening just one register for a bit too long). Thankfully the checkout process does move quickly. I do love that their variety continues to grow (ie., Brioche bread and buns at much lower prices than other grocery stores). I always find something new to try and am usually impressed with the quality. I was never a fan their produce department, but it seems to have improved since they recently started to refrigerate much of the more perishable veggies and fruits. Aldi is one of my...
