Read moreThe "JAM" is a trail that connects the Wilmington river front to old New Castle's Battery Park. It is approximately 5-6 total miles, depending on exactly where you join the trail; but is approximately 10 miles if you include the river front and Battery Park. Most of the trail is a flat, paved surface, but there are a couple unique items as well. Read moreThis is an easy walk. It's nearly all flat since it is in a tidal marsh. The trail mostly follows the path of an old railroad tracks. There are little kiosks along the trail with benches and places that you can lock up a bike. There is a lot of wildlife. Birders will especially like this trail because of the wide variety of marsh species. The ducks here seem especially used to humans and didn't fly off while I was near.
