The "JAM" is a trail that connects the Wilmington river front to old New Castle's Battery Park. It is approximately 5-6 total miles, depending on exactly where you join the trail; but is approximately 10 miles if you include the river front and Battery Park. Most of the trail is a flat, paved surface, but there are a couple unique items as well. There are long sections of elevated boardwalk, and a nice bridge over the Christina River near the DuPont Environmental Education Center. There are also two pass-thru tunnels under routes 295, and 13.

Absolutely loved it here. I cant wait for the weather to get warmer. It's all new and clean and I feel like not to many people know about the trail yet which is a good thing for me because im not to fond of crowds. Theres so much nature to see and it's an easy walk or bike ride without a lot of ups and downs to slow you down or tire you out.I will definitely be back to check it out this spring

Love this place. Very clean easy trail to walk have bug spray walking the marsh I personally had a lot of bugs just around me. Funny story a dragon fly hit me literally in my eye, it s a lot of those. Bathroom are in the building beautifully maintained. I went with no water or anything really didn’t know what I was getting myself into so definitely be hydrated. Can’t wait to go back.

This trail is packed with a punch for eye candy !

Over the river and through some woods; tunnels, board walks and over the marsh. The terrain is paved and not at all harsh. The scenery, so much eye appeal, you'll hardly think it's all for real. The colors all vary as you pedal along, a pallette of beauty, impressive and strong. Plenty of choices to stop and eat, bike racks within eyesight, oh how sweet ! Walk it, bike it, stroll along, a gorgeous trail, you can't go wrong !!! Take your mom, take a friend, the beauty of this trail; it...

This is an easy walk. It's nearly all flat since it is in a tidal marsh. The trail mostly follows the path of an old railroad tracks. There are little kiosks along the trail with benches and places that you can lock up a bike. There is a lot of wildlife. Birders will especially like this trail because of the wide variety of marsh species. The ducks here seem especially used to humans and didn't fly off while I was near. There is some sort of construction going on where the boardwalk to the nature center begins. This is in the...
