Went to the BELK at this location. Staff was busy and appeared helpful to others but, when I was reached in the line they generally were not helpful and borderline rude - I understand we get tired, but this is your job - seriouly. I was looking for a wedding gift - the couple had registered at BELK - and the staff with the exception of one person was so totally not trying to help me . I was not from the area and did not know my way around the store and just needed assistance in getting the item I needed ( a punch bowl set from the registry ).Two of the sales associates - the ones that were generally not helpful - complained about people from the wedding getting their gifts at that BELK instead of going to the BELK in the city where they lived... REALLY??? Finally an older lady who was extremely nice came over and helped me - but her gift wrapping skills were HORRIBLE. I am guessing she did the best she could - not sure really. The other guys were so short, hard to tell... Most everyone in the store was that way with very few exceptions. I will only visit here again if I don't have a choice. I've never gotten such a cold shoulder from BELK associates before and I worked for BELK for years when I was young... too sad that these organizations do not ensure their staff extends customer courtesy to...
Read moreAs a former Lowe's employee, I understand that things can get a bit hectic and busy. I felt the need to take the time to show my appreciation for two employees (Tab and Cole). Today I went to store 0445 to return 30 each 50lb bags of cement. The register clerk paged for unloading assistance (code 50). A Lumber employee (Tina) came to the outside area and I asked her if she was to assist with unloading my truck. She looked at the back of my truck and walked away. I assumed that she was going to get more assistance, instead the register clerk began paging for assistance again. Shortly after a few pages Tab appeared outside to see who was calling for unloading assistance. She looked at the back of my truck, and informed me that she was going to get a forklift. She then instructed Cole to accompany her to get a forklift. Within minutes she was back with a forklift guided by Cole. She informed Cole on the most expedient and safest way to unload the cement bags. Between the three of us, we were able to quickly unload the bags and properly stack them for resale. Her quick actions, courtesy and customer care is why I continue to shop at Lowe's. She treated me as a valuable customer and provided valuable guidance to Cole. Thank you for maintaining hardworking employees such as...
Read moreThere was a store there that I used to really like- Rugged Warehouse, where did it go? They used to have nice, discounted clothing, shoes, jewelry, etc. Looks like it may have been replaced by a store named Gabe’s, though I haven’t been there yet. That’s okay because I love Ross For Less! I go in, not needing anything in particular and I always buy too much when I shop there! Great clothing and shoe selection as well as housewares. I used to be a member of Sam’s Club there, and there’s a Sam’s Club Gas station, where it worth the savings but there’s usually a wait. Always fun to stop in at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet store where it’s fun to look around. Good savings on bath and bedding and I always buy the coffee K-cups. Best prices I’ve ever seen. Great Clips- there’s usually a wait, especially in the evening and on weekends. I’ve always been very lucky when I’ve had my hair colored or styled here but I always make sure I request the most experienced person. They’ll try and sell you their overpriced merchandise when you get to the checkout counter, and I have fallen for it, but it’s...
