Edit in response to yours: There was no misunderstanding. I personally asked if she could reschedule with a credit and the receptionist told me no she would still be charged, I also asked could she come in a do another service and was told no. I made 3 phone calls and asked for the owner to call me back and was told you were out of town but would return my call. I was there when she made the appointment and she clearly said she had keratin treatment 1 week earlier. Also I was told by the receptionist who called me back that the charge amount would be $100 which is still ridiculous but was charge $185. I have reviewed the agreement she signed and it never once said full price, it said a fee.
I called the salon on December 20th and spoke to receptionist about scheduling for January when she informed me they were booked out but they had a cancellation on the 21st the next day. I informed receptionist that I had just had a keratin treatment 1 week earlier and that the stylist told me I needed to wait 2 weeks, she spoke to some one who told her it was safe for me to get treatment. I told her I would prefer to ask my normal stylist and she said just to call back and let her know and she would cancel appointment. I emailed my normal stylist who was on Holiday in Australia and she got back with me after 11pm on the 20th, I called the salon as soon as they opened to reschedule my appointment and was told I had to pay full price for appointment I was missing which was $185. I was never told upon scheduling that would be the case or I would not have scheduled until I spoke with my stylist and my credit card was previously on file because my stylist worked there, I did not give permission for my card to be charged and was not told upon scheduling that it was on file. I asked to speak with owner who never called me back but had receptionist called to tell me that I would not be charged but $100 but was actually stilled charged $185. The owner still has not called me after...
Read moreSalty Salon totally saved my wedding! I spent about 3 months in the process of prepping for getting extensions with another salon, and unfortunately a shipping issue left me in a tough spot just a few days before I was supposed to fly out for my wedding. I called a ton of salons to see if anyone could help, and everyone at Salty Salon was soooo incredibly helpful and compassionate. They graciously squeezed me in for a full install with only a few days notice after hearing the situation. The work they did was incredible and I truly felt my best on my wedding day, all thanks to them.
The before picture is when I first realized I needed extensions, and the second picture is about a week after my install at Salty Salon. I got so many compliments on my hair and it looked super natural. You couldn’t tell I had extensions even when my hair was whipping around...
Read moreLove, love my hair cut and color.... We have a home on Oak Island and I've been trying to get my hair cut/color for months now with no luck. I've called, no less, than 2-3 other salons in the area with just one salon calling me back with a last minute cancelation, unfortunately I missed that call. My niece recommend Evee Hunter at Salty Salon & Extensions in Wilmington. Although the salon was a distance in travel (approx. 40 min. from Oak Island), a receptionist called me back within minutes and I was schedule with Evee Hunter right away for a hair cut/color. Everyone at the salon was accommodating and welcoming. My hair was in desperate need of attention; out of control, extremely long and needed some gray coverage. Evee Hunter was awesome, I am so happy with my cut/color! Cleary, I would HIGHLY recommend the salon and stylist...
