HomeGoods — Local services in Wilmington

I checked out with the rudest cashier today. I work right across the street at TJ Maxx (the same company that operates HomeGoods) & she treated me as if I was just some POS who stumbled in the door. She shrugged & threw her arms up in the air when asked any kind of questions. Her tone was monotone & passive aggressive, which was completely uncalled for & undeserved. It was an older woman with short hair & wide stature that was so disrespectful that I ended up filling out their survey in order to be able to actually inform someone at their store about her. They left me with no choice since the same rude employee is in charge of answering the phone. Some parts of society dictate that a man should not love this store. I am a man, and I don't like stereotypes. That being said the selection of home goods (pun intended) to be found at this store are tasteful, diversely populated, and reasonably priced.

Love is complicated, and while I enjoy shopping here I must do so in small doses around times of financial stability. When I am not shopping here, I like to show HomeGoods some love by returning wayward HomeGoods shopping carts I find all across Wilmington. I like to believe that it was the wind or divine intervention which places some of their carts so far from their home. I also like to believe that if I was desperately lost among the furniture and fake plants within the store an employee would help me become as found, too. ...

Terrible experience with cashier # 1 at 3:00 pm on July 2nd, I had 4 items one was a mirror I put the other three items on the table for her to scan and she scanned the mirror and 2 of the items on the table I wasn’t watching her scan everything I didn’t notice that she hadn’t scanned the badminton the third item and so She rang me up I payed got the receipt put the three items in the cart along with the mirror, then she said to me “ You didn’t give me that” with such nasty attitude which I didn’t appreciate at all because that’s is your job not mine. I had all three items on the table before she even started. I then give her back the badminton to scan I pay and she gives me the recipe and I just get a dirty look from her. Needs an...
