If you find yourself venturing through the heart of Arizona, a stop at "Standin' on the Corner" in Winslow is an absolute must! This charming landmark, immortalized by the legendary Eagles song "Take It Easy," effortlessly captures the spirit of the American Southwest and pays homage to the music that has touched millions around the world.

As I approached the corner of Kinsley Avenue and Second Street, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement. The mural adorning the wall is a stunning visual representation of the famous song, featuring a guitar-strumming figure set against a backdrop of classic Route 66 imagery. It was as if I had stepped into a snapshot of rock 'n' roll history.

The attention to detail in this small but significant attraction is truly commendable. From the well-maintained streets to the vintage lampposts, every aspect reflects the song's lyrics, bringing back the days when the road trip culture was at its peak. As a fan of classic rock, it was a surreal experience to be standing where the Eagles once stood and drew inspiration for their timeless lyrics.

Another highlight of the "Standin' on the Corner" experience is the friendly atmosphere created by locals and fellow visitors alike. Whether you strike up a conversation with a friendly local or join in a spontaneous sing-along of "Take It Easy," you'll feel an instant connection with everyone around you. It's incredible how a shared love for music and history can bring people from different backgrounds together.

While at the corner, be sure to visit the charming souvenir shops lining the street. They offer an impressive selection of memorabilia, souvenirs, and local artworks, allowing you to take a piece of this extraordinary experience back home with you.

The preservation and dedication shown towards this landmark are evident, and it's clear that the community takes great pride in keeping this iconic site alive. Standin' on the Corner Park is more than just a tourist attraction; it's a symbol of the enduring power of music to touch hearts and transcend generations.

In conclusion, my visit to "Standin' on the Corner" in Winslow, Arizona, was nothing short of magical. Whether you're an Eagles enthusiast or simply someone seeking an authentic slice of American history, this place will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on you. So, next time you find yourself driving along Route 66, don't miss the chance to stop at this legendary corner and immerse yourself in the spirit of the Eagles' classic hit. You won't be...

Winslow is a small Arizona town that was immortalized in song by the Eagles. Corner of Kinsley and E. 2d street is the center of that activity with statutes, the "flat bed ford" and maybe even a "Hotel California." If you are taking young'uns (anyone under 45) be sure to educate them with the album before you leave, so they can get the true flavor. Also, the free streaming service TUBI has episodes of "Route 66" the TV show from the 60's-70's, starring the other famous American cruiser- a Corvette! There is a huge "Route 66" painted in the intersection, but watch out for traffic if you are taking a photo. Friendly people, real solid western feel to everything. A few places to stay, not too expensive. Be sure to visit the Meteor Crater about 14 miles to the West off I-40. Take your guitars and do an impromptu concert, you will be a hit!!! I can see by looking at Google maps that there are a number of other attractions of local lore, like the museum, so do your research before and have a list of stops. We were just on the fly through, going to Santa Fe, so we only had time to stand on the corner for...

Yes, I was standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona. And yes—it’s a real corner! The town built this spot at 2nd Street & Kinsley Avenue, and they did an awesome job bringing it to life.

There’s a life-sized bronze statue of a man with a guitar—not totally sure who it’s meant to be—and another statue honoring Glenn Frey of the Eagles. A large mural behind them features a red flatbed Ford, tying it all back to the famous lyrics from “Take It Easy.” Plus a real red truck with a flat bed.

This corner is more than just a tribute to a song—it’s an homage to Route 66 and the spirit of the American road trip.

What’s even cooler? This little landmark has helped revive and sustain the town by drawing Eagles fans, road-trippers like myself, and music lovers from around the world.

If you ever find yourself near Flagstaff, Arizona—don’t forget, Winona is just west of Winslow. Stop in and get your kicks...

One of the coolest stops along Route 66 as we headed to Nevada was the standin on the corner Monument in Winslow, AZ. We've all heard the song "Take it Easy" by the Eagles... well you can actually come to Winslow and stand on the corner. It's a whole set up, complete with a gift shop across the street! It was definitely the highlight of the day! For the video I did use the Travis Tritt cover version of the song.... #fyp #travel #vacation #roadtrip #bucketlist #foryou #foryoupage #adventure #arizona #route66
