It may have just been the crew working when I arrived, and I apologize if the business is not ran like this at other times, but here is my personal experience- (8:20 PM, 9/23) This place came highly recommended from a couple of people, and I thought I would check it out. From the beginning it was an extremely poor experience. One of the drink machines was out of order, and the salad line was leaking water from the ceiling vent into a cover pan. That alone is not a huge deal, but it was only foreshadowing what was to come. I waited in line looking at the menu, and after coming to a decision, I waited for someone to speak to me, and ask me what I was going to order. What I got was a women who was standing directly in front of me, leaning on the counter with her arms crossed, starring at me like I was an inconvenience. I assumed this was someone waiting on something, or just standing around passing time. She even has another worker walk up from my side of the counter and chats with her for a minute. This same individual on my side also picked up one of the wrapped cookies in front of the register (for purchase), opened it, and proceeded to eat it while in front of me and the other customers. I thought this was very unprofessional but decided to overlook it. After about 7 minutes of waiting on two employees who were further down to finish the order in front of me, she says "I'm waiting on you whenever you are ready" while she proceeds to turn and laugh to the guys beside her like this is a joke. Instantly I try to ignore this comment and blame it on her age and inexperience in customer service. I then proceed to order, but the first thing she tells me is that she is out of this item as the guys beside her burst out laughing. At this point I am getting frustrated and ask if they have another item. With an attitude she claims they are out of this as well, and the guys look over and start laughing again. At this point I am catching on to the fact that they are laughing because they are not actually out of these items, it is that they do not want to take the time to get it because they were closing in forty minutes. Not one single person there seemed like they cared about their job, or the business one bit. If I owned this location I would want to know if my workers were this immature and horrible at their job. At every single customer service job I have worked you would have been fired on the spot in front of the customer for acting this way. Given every worker there did seem young and in their early 20s, this is still not acceptable for a business's longevity nor profits, especially when the location is so new. Needless to say I left and got food elsewhere. I know my potential business would not make a drop in the ocean for that location but I personally would rather eat at a fast food chain and be treated like a human being than to ever eat somewhere with people like this. Prehaps this is due to lack of training or maybe lack of leadership. I will be reporting this to a manager in person tomorrow. If upper management reads this, I implore you to watch any camera footage available to you to verify my experience. The food may have been really good but I wont know since the employees drove me away from even trying it. I am truly...
Read moreGreat food, and I will be eating here all the time. Unfortunately, my first experience involved a loud young woman and a tongue ring, after who seemed to be the owner took over my wrap!!! This was my first time. The woman even asked if we were separate (My friend and I), no one in that long line was asked that. Hi,
I went in today to use your card; and the experience was FAR more unbearable. To make matters worse, I was with my infant.
When entering a VERY nice girl offered to help with a high chair, so I was happy for her.
When I got to the counter, the same dreadful woman was working, and I asked for the next associates preparation.
While preparing, the woman whispered something to the preparer, followed by other whispers of employees, and a little humiliation.
After I ordered, and presented the card; she rang everything up for 18.75. I asked if the salad was 30$, she took off with the card to the back.
The wrap was almost finished, until the dreadful associate (with prior complaint) deliberately came over to my food and reached over it. I asked her why she did that. She rudely said “because I can”. After this the manager offered to make it again
After about a 5 minute deliberation the employees went into a horrible fiasco with service. Making comments, and gestures. It was totally unacceptable.
When the manager tried to make it right, an associate came to the front and told him what I wanted, what was in it. I told her to “please let me place my order, for MYSELF and child.
I politely asked the manager to just retrieve my card so I could leave. No way I would have ate that food with the service received in front of my child.
All I wanted was a clean salad.
The associates are horrible, I was able to retrieve the card, but the closest location is in Greensboro.
Please protect...
Read moreWell, I haven't written a review in a while because there hasn't been a need...until now. My recent visit to Chopt left me quite disappointed. I ordered as I usually do on the app, making a few swaps and adding double meat. Upon picking up my order, I was shocked to see how drastically the portion sizes had been reduced. I spoke with one of the workers and mentioned, "I've never received a bowl this low and bare before." He explained that corporate was enforcing stricter portion controls. While I understand the need to follow directives from above, the amount in my bowl for $18 that resembled a kid's meal size portion can't be the portion size they are talking about. Although he offered to give me extra lettuce, what I received was a bowl of cabbage. Paying more for less left me feeling unsatisfied and frustrated.
To make matters worse, my wife found two chicken bones in her bowl while eating (see attached picture). This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about Chopt's quality control and food preparation standards. Such an oversight is not only unpleasant but also potentially dangerous.
Overall, I expected much better from Chopt, especially considering the competition in the area. Staff need to be retrained in proper portion sizes and ensuring no bones make it into the food. Loyal customers who support the business should feel appreciated, and product expectations must always be met. Unfortunately, this experience has paused my support for...
