I’ve been riding for 12 years. I’ve been dealing with cycle gears in many different states or areas in NC. I proudly buy most of my merchandise from this company. But BEWARE this new Winston Salem location seems to operate off of their own version of the clear rules depicted by the company. I purchased a RAM quick grip handlebar phone mount for my motorcycle. There were so many pieces and screws I was assisted by an employee with opening the package and putting it together. I went home and went to mount the Quick grip onto my motorcycle. U bolts would not fit. I returned the following day with my product the store employee opened and assembled with me to be told I could not return due to it not being in original condition. Failing to understand how my mount was not in its original condition as it has not been used I asked the employee why and he seemed to not be able to elaborate as to how or why it wasn’t in its original form. I’m not looking to go back and forth here so I said thanks and left. Later returned same mount to a different store with no hassle about anything. Seems a bit odd the standard is not the same here with both stores being the same company. Sounds like the manager needs to have his employees understand the return policy or at least be willing to explain to to customers instead of pointing at a sign on the counter top. Very inconvenient having to drive 45 mins to another store to return item. Poor customer service, lack there of knowledge...
Read moreI feel like a kid in a toy store every time I walk in. You can see it on every rider’s face when they walk in, especially if it’s their first time (still a new store for the area). While I was in last time getting a transition shield for my Shoei, a guy walked in with his wife and both gasped with excitement, jaws dropped, like they won the good feels lottery. It’s a great feeling.
The manager (bald guy with glasses) is legit. Helps you find discounts and sticks by your side answering questions. Even when the store is busy, he manages to keep it locked in for everyone. My only complaint—I wish the store had a dedicated clearance/open box display like some of the other locations I’ve been to on...
Read moreI drove out of my way to return a motorcycle mount that my grandpa had bought me. He had lost the receipt. I was told there was absolutely nothing they could do until he found a receipt for it. I mentioned I was fine with store credit as their return policy states. Nope. Nothing they can do without a receipt. All I needed was to swap my motorcycle mount for the size bigger. I was told this as I’m standing in front of a sign with their return policy on it. This was my first experience with cycle gear and it will honestly be last. I wasn’t asking for anything other than to honor their own...
