House of Plants — Attraction in Winston-Salem

Edit: I have been coming to this establishment for quite some time since moving to the area, unfortunately after today I have to change my review from 5 stars to one. The main factor being the way I was treated after going into this establishment. The lady that greeted me and my spouse was rather rude and at one point she followed/tracked us around the store. It was feeling as thought I was not welcome there at all. The second factor to me changing my review is the selection/ quality of the plants…. The selection of plants is mediocre at best with the prices being kinda insane. The quality of the plants has also gone down significantly with many of the plants looking half dead and poorly maintained. (I have gotten pests from this store in the past-mealy bugs and spider mites, which I’m even more wary of now with the state of the plants) I made my purchase but I will not be returning nor will I be recommending it to friends and family.

Simply disappointed in this place everyone that knows me know I love plants and I spend green money on my plants. But this place seems to not like green money or a certain type of people.. not only was I not greeted but was looked at like I was a thief as I walked around taking pictures of the plants I planned on purchasing this weekend when I wasn't on the clock. Not welcoming at all and then as I was leaving the only thing all the employees in the front was concerned about was me hitting a sign in front of the building. So not only was I Ignored, and looked at like a Criminal but I felt like I was told I couldn't drive. No doubt they lost a 200 to 300 dollar sell from me. Very...

I had a wonderful experience with my first time at House of Plants! I stopped in because I needed a nice gift to give my mother-in-law for her birthday, and she loves all kinds of plants and flowers. After walking in and taking a few minutes to browse, the woman at the front counter asked if I needed any help - which I gladly accepted since I always joke that I have a “black thumb”! 😅 She helped me pick out an azalea, and we matched it up with a beautiful piece of handmade pottery to display it in. I would 10/10 recommend stopping by here for all your plant needs - whether it’s for gift giving, gardening, or just finding something special...
