Absolutely trash massages happen here. I pad $150 for mine.
I got an 80 minute massage from Lynda here. When I showed up, they had me pay for my massage BEFORE the service. Which is weird but whatever. The person who rang me up was also my therapist.
After she brought me to the room she simply pointed in and said āthereā. I was like - am I supposed to be waiting for my massage therapist? Am I supposed to get on the table? And she was like āyeah get on the tableā.
She didnāt ask me any questions about what I wanted from the massage - or if there is anything that needed to be avoided. She didnāt tell me which way to lay, and the massage sheet was laying on the table STILL FOLDED.
I had to unfold my own sheet to lay under it.
I told my therapist that I wanted to sleep during my massage, but she still talked through the entire thing.
She pulled my underwear down suuuuper far, and did a bunch of strokes that pulled my butt cheeks quite far apart. I felt perfectly safe, it was just weird.
There were no face cradles, so I had to stick my head in a face hole in the table. It was extremely uncomfortable.
Thereās no hot towels or anything either, which I thought was the standard for even the lowest of spas.
When we got to the last 10 minutes, she spent the entire time pitching their membership program and talking about how I needed to leave them a five star google review.
So instead of getting to relax my last 10 minutes, I had to listen to her pitch me on products.
When she got to the end and told me my massage was finished, I was confused because she had not massaged the front of my legs at all.
She had just decided to skip that part of my body without asking. After I mentioned it, she worked my legs for one minute.
When I came out of the room after my massage had ended, my massage Therapist was nowhere to be found.
I eventually found her back up at the front desk, ready to check me out again, because I had gotten an upgrade.
Itās there that she again pressured me to leave a five star review right in front of her. I think most of these five star reviews come from people who are pressured to leave them at the front desk before they leave the spa. I donāt think most of the good reviews this spa has are genuine.
I would highly recommend going to a massage envy or hand and stone instead. You will get hot towels and your massage Therapist will at least ask you what kind of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy best friend and I came in about a month ago for her birthday. I was treating her and myself to scalp treatments, and we were very excited after reading many positive reviews. When we arrived, we were brought back to a very nice room with four beds and two chairs. There was no explanation of where to go, so we sat down in the chairs. They did a quick look at our scalps, saying my friend was having hair loss (after looking at her part) and that her hair was very dirty, but then looking at the back of her scalp and saying her hair was very full. They said my scalp was oily, which is fine. We were getting our scalps cleaned so we were understanding that our scalps would be dirty at the start. We were led to the beds and asked to put on robes. The woman with me asked me to take off my top to put the robe on and closed the curtain between us, but there were mirrors behind her so if she turned around, she could have seen me. She gave me about 30 seconds to disrobe before opening up the curtain while I was still changing. When laying down, they offered us a $40 upgrade for 15 minute facials, which we declined. They washed our hair twice with shampoo, and shampooed our necks. The woman with me shampooed my ears? That was uncomfortable, and I wish she had checked first before doing so. The hair washing was nice, and the scalp massage they did was amazing. Both my friend and I wished that the women helping us hadn't talked the ENTIRE TIME. It completely took away from the spa atmosphere. I was offered a hair mask upgrade, which I declined. Then, it came time to blow dry our hair. I think both women got tired because they did it from the bed, rather than bringing us to the chairs like I'd read about from other reviews, and we both left with damp hair.
When we left, the same women checked us out and the tip options on the screen started at 25% and went up to 40%. There was still an option for a custom tip so I just left 20%. My friend and I left and laughed in my car for about 5 minutes at how bad the overall experience had been. I was so disappointed after reading everyone's amazing reviews. This is my second scalp treatment experience and I will just go back to the original...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had booked the 60 Min (TCM) Acupoint Meridians Massage and Herbal Scalp massage. I get there and thereās a really bad odor, so after checking in and being taken to the treatment room, I had to ask for an aromatherapy oil to be included. It helped a little, but she puts oil right onto my lips, which actually burned my skin.
I actually never received the specific massage I had booked. Instead the massage therapist gave me a deep tissue massage because she was not certified in the Meridians massage. It wouldāve been nice to have been told that ahead of time, but they just did a bait and switch, which I did not appreciate. The massage itself was OK (not worth the $100), but the therapist was really nice. The scalp treatment was better, however, I was in a room with another man, while being under the covers in only my underwear. The treatment room for the head scalp has four chairs that is only divided by a curtain, so my experience was not very comfortable to say the least.
While I was getting my massage treatment, there was another employee that went into my therapy room and proceeded to talk to my therapist (Iām sure just asking a few questions). It was not professional and not relaxing at all. My scalp session was interrupted by another therapist asking my therapist for product and from the other customer that was coughing and talking to his therapist.
It was not a relaxing experience. There was a communication barrier with everyone at this spa so I couldnāt voice my concerns there. I just paid and left. The weird part was that the therapist was standing over my shoulder while I was paying to see how much I was tipping. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. They first were charging me before services even started, and I refuse to pay until afterwards. Iām glad I refused because I didnāt even get the services they wouldāve charged me for a service I didnāt even get which was the meridians massage. For the nearly $200 that I spent at this location I would never go back again and I do not...
