This happened last week with a catering order in Winter Haven and I wasn't going to leave 2 stars but because they didn't do anything about the order they completely messed up on, I decided to just put it out there. I do presentations for dental offices from Polk County and south and all the way to the west. I have chosen Panera to cater my lunches because of the outstanding food and service. I placed an order for delivery from 11:15-11:30. I have a hungry bunch on a limited time. No delivery even at 11:30...nor 11:45. I called, "oh she is out for delivery...we will find out where she and call you." The clock shows now 12:00. No phone call so I call again. Had to leave her a message is what they told me. 12:15 still no lunch. Finally she calls me and said it will be another 15 minutes. I told her it is completely unacceptable at this point. She finally told me that my order paper got caught in her other paper work and she didn't see it until she was well past this office. Long past. I get it, people make mistakes but seriously, separate your orders so you are not 1 HOUR LATE! I felt horrible for this office not having food at the time I paid it to be there. It costs $15.00 per delivery, at least they could have credited that back but no...all they offered was free pastries. Read moreAbsolutely ashamed to see this location go downhill. I've been a resident of Winter Haven for all my life and I've seen this restaurant open. I visited this restaurant for quite a while over the years. However if the cost of goods keep going up, while this restaurant's quality and staff continues to go down hill. It's bad enough I have to pay nearly $20 for half a sandwich and side salad, but to have to deal with the attitude is unacceptable. I hate to blanket the entirety off the staff so I won't, I'll only highlight the worse experience of them all. There is a younger, light skin complection gentleman, he's more effeminate (Not that I mean disrespect, this is just a recognizable trait since I do not have the man's name), wore glasses, and had short cut hair. I honestly won't go into explicet detail, but this man needs an attitude adjustment, to be put in the back away from customer interaction, or fired. Unacceptable how he talks to people. I worked in the culinary industry for years. It doesnt matter if you're having a bad day, you always server service with a smile, and definitely not condescending comments and tones. Read moreI was so excited to learn that Panera offered gluten-free options. After being diagnosed with an allergy, you feel like you can't enjoy some of your favorite places anymore. However, when a family member tried to pick up something for me tonight, the entire staff except for one man were very rude. They said things like they didn't have time for all this allergy stuff. " I ain't got time for all that " she said. Another employee said it was stupid for us to try to get food from them. They didn't even have the decency to walk away from the drive-thru window before insulting the person picking up the food, and saying all these things right in front of them. To talk that way about a customer is unacceptable. No one was rude or imp polite to them, they just started making comments about not wanting to change gloves and such. Please do yourself a favor and do not eat here if you have any kind of allergies. They don't have to worry we won't be back to spend more money. We have been valuable customers for years.
