Read if you have little ones riding tandem with you We booked two tours recently with Grand Adventures. 1.) Our tour was at 9:45am & we were 20mins. late, so the tour left without us. After realizing we weren't going to arrive on time, I made my peace with the fact that we were late and going to have to get another time slot while we were driving in, but I had to pay a $115 rescheduling fee which was RIDICULOUS. There was already a tour going out at the time we rescheduled for, so it was just a way for them to make money. The tour we rebooked for was a 2 hour tour, which if you're taking little ones, it's entirely too long. My twins are 6yrs old and about 30 mins. into the ride, they fell asleep. The tour guide did mention to us right before we took off that often times the little ones go to sleep on the rides due to the vibration or motion of the snowmobiles, but if I would've known that prior to booking, I wouldn't have taken them at all on any tour. 2.) The second tour we did was at 2:45 and this tour was with the electric snowmobiles which I heard were a much quieter ride, but the hour tour wasn't an actual hour long because of all the instructions you go over. The guides were very helpful, kind & informative. They did stop during the tours so we could take pictures and he explained things about our location which was nice. My only issue with this place was the rescheduling fee charge (absolutely ridiculous, mind you we spent over $1,400 for the tours with this place) They offer digital photos at the end that they take for $65. I highly recommend to dress warm with all the things you would wear if you were going skiing, lots of layers, but the hand warmers on the handles of the machines were very helpful. Also - bring a backpack with WATER. Take motion sickness medicine if you're not used to the elevation. There is also a really nice snowtubing park...
Read moreThe Highlight of Our Trip!! An Unforgettable Experience w/Johnny G If you're looking for a private adventure that goes above and beyond, look no further than a tour with Johnny G. My husband and I were lucky enough to experience an ATV ride with him in Winter Park, Colorado and hands down — this was the BEST part of our vacation. From the moment we met Johnny, it was clear that we were in great hands. His professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of the area made the entire experience unforgettable. He didn’t just guide us through the trails — he told the story of the land. We learned about the historic train lines weaving through the mountains, the hidden gems of the region, and countless fascinating facts that you’d never find in a guidebook. His passion for what he does is absolutely contagious. What truly stood out was Johnny’s ability to read the moment. When we had extra time, he surprised us with a short hike off the beaten path, offering even more insight and breathtaking views — something that wasn’t technically part of the tour, but just shows how much he genuinely cares about creating a meaningful experience. That level of dedication is rare. The atmosphere he created throughout the day was relaxed, adventurous, and full of curiosity. He was incredibly respectful, friendly, and thoughtful — the kind of person who makes you feel instantly comfortable. His customer service and people skills are truly top-notch, and his love for the outdoors and storytelling made every minute enjoyable. Johnny G is not just a guide — he’s a standout human being who turns a simple tour into something memorable and personal. We can't recommend him highly enough. If you're in Winter Park and looking for a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience, don’t miss the chance to tour with Johnny. You will leave with new knowledge, great memories, and a huge smile...
Read moreThe woman or man that answers the phone to book is horrible and not professional. The manager very heartless. We were snowed in unable to leave the area of Boulder due to a winter storm. We had it booked for a while and unfortunately had no idea there was a winter storm being we came from Florida. Just like people vacation to Florida not knowing they booked it while a hurricane was passing through. Catch my drift. Anyway we called asking if we could please have a refund due to the horrible weather conditions. They said no it’s been on the national news we should have known. Well no ma’am or man we didn’t know we don’t watch the news. Very very very rude. Then manager called me and he said no that it’s all rainbows and sunshine there and we can still come. Keep in mind weather conditions were getting worse and I told them they are 2.5 hours away. The manager wanted me to risk my families life to make a snow mobile trip. He said your family you only have 3 for the reservation. Uhh yea ding dong my brother and sister, then he goes on to say well you said you had kids and they are not on here. Not that it was his business but my mom was there with us in the hotel watching my kids. They kept my 840 but since the horrible weather keeping us in and roads being closed AND services not rendered I got it back. I called him heartless and he hung up he was a very flamboyant man it sound like. Don’t trust these people they need to work on customer service skills. I’m sure the ride would have been nice though but not risking lives to make a trip like they suggested. Money hungry people. Come to find out they were the most expensive snow mobiling place anyway. Just beware HEARTLESS people and you might catch second hand smoke just being around the raspy lady or man that...
