Kids Empire Woodbridge — Attraction in Woodbridge Township

Wouldn’t recommend reasons below: not clean (dust bunnies everywhere)

chaotic and not enough supervision to enforce any rules

a friend had her son’s birthday party here and this was the reason why we attended. I was excited to take her but just disappointed with cleanliness and over lack of enforcement of simple rules.

the majority of staff were young teens (appearing 16-18) which is irrelevant, they did a great job when the mascot came around. However I question if this was the reason that there was no accountability to parents.

had a conversation to staff about a lost phone and it wasn’t a pleasant. The person did not want to provide her name (which I found very odd). I only wanted so I could call back on a different day and mention the person who I had the conversation with. It was a very bizarre, unusual interaction. Initially when I came up to the counter, two staff members mentioned they would place an announcement on loudspeaker then only to be told by the person who would not give her name that it’s not allowable. I’m very understanding but the tone lacked empathy, she did not care one bit (which whatever I get it prob dealt with many mean parents but I was not one of them so I don’t think I should have been treated so poorly)

If you have older children, there isn’t a way to view what they’re doing. This isn’t a deal breaker but it’s tough if you wanted to check on them (it was for most of my friend’s children)

my pet peeve: toddler section was filled with other children who were NOT in diapers. I have a one year old and had a few incidents that older children were running at full speed and almost bumped into her. This alone was enough for me not to return.

My child is one and a half, you couldn’t pay me enough to return (unless we were invited to a party here again 🥴).

Recommendation for other places that are not chaotic and are cleaner: Mema’s Create and play in Parlin and there’s a smaller indoor playground inside Woodbridge Mall (Boscov’s wing).

Listen DO NOT BOOK A PARTY HERE! We went to Kids empire in Cheltenham PA and it was a nightmare! They were completely understaffed and they booked entirely too many parties! Children were running wild and my one year old and his guests were run over multiple times in the toddler area by bigger children! It was so bad the parents came and sat on the floor with the one year olds to keep them safe and entertain them since we could not use the toddler area! It wasn’t until I spoke to one of the pre-teen aged staff to do something that she went over and told them to get out but of course they didn’t listen and she didn’t stick around to make sure. We were supposed to have a party host who was supposed to guide us from activity to activity and that didn’t happen! When I booked this party I was under the impression we would have someone to guide us and that was absolutely not the case. Not to mention none of the staff are in the play area guiding the children. My 6 year old son broke his arm in two places while in the facility and yes I know we filled out a waiver but it was because there were so many children and there was no order! When I went back to ask for a refund for the many issues the manager could care less about my 6 year old in a cast and said she was taking her lunch and would be back in 30 mins. I waited and she never returned! I wrote to the corporate office as other staff told me to after seeing how upset I was. I needed to to speak to someone about the issues and guess what, they have ignored my every single email! This is why I say do not book a party here! For all that money the least someone could have done was respond to my email. I will be emailing everyday until I get a response and I absolutely want a refund. The first experience will be my last experience at this place. I held my son's 4th birthday here. The kids had fun, but this place is run very poorly. There is no organization and understaffed. The staff they do have are incapable of running this facility properly. I booked a party a month in advance and followed up with them several times until the day before when I had to pay my final deposit and drop off any items to be added to the goodie bags. The next day they were completely overbooked and still allowed their previous parties to stick around. The overbooking I have found to be a regular issue. Allowing the party's patrons to remain after the party is normal. However, you over booked parties and now your over capacity and the current parties are subjected to this problem. Parents started putting chairs in the normal walkway areas to watch their kids instead of going into the obstacles with them. So parents and kids are constantly detouring through our tables. Imagine trying to sing happy birthday and several rude children start pushing through. My party host was never to be found I had to constantly find her. The tables were unprepared when they told us we could arrive 20 mins early to decorate. I had to go searching for her all the time. She was always in the back talking and playing with others. Even if you sign the waiver before attending you will still be subject to sitting in long lines. The huggy parade that we were promised did not happen. The reason given to my party was the suit was too hot and they didn't feel like it. The host tried to hand out unprepared goodie bags and not all the items made it in the bags.
