DONT BELIEVE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS FOR HALAL EATZ! Go elsewhere anywhere is better. This place is terrible. I think the one employee behind the counter was probably the one writing the reviews! We came here on Friday night, ordered the rice platters with all the different types of meat and our kiddo had a gyro.
The "delectable sauce" is a very heavy, thick white sauce smothered on top of the meat, rice & salad. I mixed it in a little and realized there was a LOT of it. I don't know what their meat tastes like because the sauce takes over and it's the only taste there. It was way too heay with the stuff.
We were very hungry, so we ate in silence for a few minutes. Then my boyfriend announced, "I'm ONLY eating this because I am SO hungry."
I laughed because I was in the same boat. I took a bite and had a hard chunk of something in my mouth. It felt like hard plastic. I look at what I had bitten into and it appears to be undercooked rice, in rock hard clumps. The pita bread was old, stale and HARD. Not at all appetizing.
When our son opened his gyro, he had no idea how to eat it. It was a sloppy mess. The gyro consisted of a Flatbread packed full of chopped chicken swimming in a different, tangier white sauce. It was more appetizing but also overused and overpowering. He had to eat it with a fork.
They couldn't even get fries right. The air fried fries were also terrible. I didn't bother trying them, but my boyfriend took a bite and dropped the rest into the nearest trash bin, so I gues that...
Read moreThis food is absolutely DISGUSTING. I ordered a “beef platter” to go. I asked the guy working there what did their beef platter looked like, since it was my first time going there. He pointed to his apron which seemed to have a picture of their “beef platter” coincidently, which looked NOTHING like what I was given on that day. Since I ordered to go, I didn’t see what was being served, but trusted this business with what they were offering me. I ordered 2 beef platters to go (1 for my mom and 1 for myself) which I paid a total $25. When we got home and opened the food, it already looked deceiving and not appealing at all. There were 4 thin pieces of LAMB which they never indicated or specified it was lamb. It had what seemed to be brown rice and 2 pieces of lettuce which 3 drops of white cream on top and a piece of bread that tasted like it was 100 years old 🤮. When we both started to eat it, we couldn’t eat more after we first tasted it. The meat tasted like rubber and the rice was plane and had no seasoning whatsoever. This is such an insult to customers and such a RIP OFF!! save your money and go somewhere else! Like ANYWHERE ELSE. I promise you, you will never be satisfied with this food. It is such a rip off for what you get. Don’t let them fool you with their fake advertising because the food don’t look or taste anything like they...
Read moreIt's no New York Style food. Also, they charged extra for sauce they add on the platter.
My question to the owner, why not charge me extra for the lettuce, the chicken, the rice, and while you are at it, the Styrofoam container?
When I told the employee working, he apologized saying "Ohh sorry I should have told you that upfront". The chicken platter was $11.99 and I was charged about $15. When I asked why the bill was almost $3 more, the employee stated "oh it's taxes". When I saw the receipt, I saw the additional charges for white and red sauces. When I mentioned to the employee, he apologized and started offering me free drink, mozzarella sticks etc.
The food was mediocre and the business practice horrible. I will never be a customer again and recommend to stay away...
