I believe over charging items which you didn’t purchased or even not in your carts are ongoing problem with most of patronage at all Patel Brothers stores. I am Patel too and feel shameful when someone like this kind store cheat you over and over by charging extra items in most of locations. They think $300-$400 worth groceries purchaser’s don’t check their receipts so let add extra items and charge them extra money which violates our trust with them and also against ethics too. $5 or $10 extra charge may not impact individual person and he/her move on but this amount make much difference to Patel Bro. store just think $5 x 1000 ( all know it’s more than 1000)customers on each day will bring additional revenue of $5000 and if added up this amount in weeks, months and years it will be unbelievable amount they making without doing anything else. To note: this is not genuine mistake or error but it’s practice is followed by mostly all of Patel’s stores and I experienced & observed it over the long time and today finally I decided to bring it in people attention. In my group of family & friends mostly all goes through with same problem. I attached below my recent purchase receipt with highlighted extra item on it. Called store and reported it they just said it may be mistake but I am not...
Read moreI was charged for things I didn't even buy! I live far from NJ so when I come up (which is once/twice a year) to buy groceries, I expect to be charged only for what I buy. I just went yesterday and am so upset at finding out that my bill had charges of $8.99+ for things that weren't even in my bags. The other bad thing about this Patel Cash and Carry is that the bill doesn't even tell you what you bought!! It only says grocery, frozen, or vegetables. This isn't a list to your accountant, we are customers, we want to know the name of the item and how much we are charged for it! Even when they ring up the vegetables, they don't print out the price per lb and total of that specific item. What a mess!! This is THE WORST place I have ever shopped at! When calling to question their shortcomings, they say they are never wrong in charging customers and that it is my fault! WHO BLAMES A CUSTOMER! I will never shop here again and I DO NOT recommend this place. There are many other Patel cash and carry stores that you can go to. Indians still acting as if they are still in India, this is AMERICA, you can't cheat your customers and not expect to get a good review!...

I called the store immediately to let them know that I threw the receipt but I have the card with me if they can change it for me. They said they are not able to change it without the receipt but after talking for five minutes they said that bring it back then we can see what we can do I live far away from is Lin Patel so I went to the Patel brothers which is closer to my house and they said that I can’t take it back because they don’t know whether I am telling the truth or not, may be I bought it 6 months back and returning it now. That so cheap class. For their information I was regular customer in Patel and I did shop more than 150$ per week from there. But after getting this kind of treatment !!! I m not going back to this store anymore. The ghee is just 10.99$. Sorry to say if u guys are selling expired stuff that’s...
