Wanna a take a quick trip to India and have a food experience? Well this is the spot for you! Don't complain it's spicy, don't complain it's not too sanitary, don't complain it's crowded, as you might get bumped into. Let's keep it real, that's how it is in India! I didn't like seeing food from some of the stalls laying out on tables, nor the food just being wiped off the tables onto the floor where it was being trampled, leaving the floor quite dirty. I would recommend a hand washing station perhaps, as most Indian food is eaten without utensils. This spot is legit, and I enjoyed food from ALL stations, as it dosen't count if you only eat at one place and give a poor rating to the Flavor Junction as as a whole. Cal-Wok 1st Place! My favorite was the Spicy Garlic Shrimp & Chicken Hakka Noodles, so flavorful, loaded with protein, and the perfect amount of heat. We took another one to go. The Dumplings were a frozen brand, but the Sambal & Sweet Chili Soy Mix they serve it with complimented them. Pani Puri Spot also serves PIZZA?? The live Pani Puri was a close second, as the assortment of different waters were definitely mouth watering. The Khatta-Meetha (sweet-sour) was spot on. I probably ate 3 orders, even though the guy making them didn't have gloves, still keeping it traditional to India. The Famous NJ Plain Cheese Pizza here was incredible, the dough/sauce/cheese ratio was perfect! My son almost finished a personal one by himself, he's 6, that says a lot. Raj Kachori from Chakaz place was amazing, the chutney, delish, and the garnish of fresh Pomegranate, chef's kiss! The HYD-Bawarchi, Hyderabad Biryani spot, was out of the Goat Biryani, which is what I really wanted, however they talked me into trying the Special Chicken Dum Biryani, which tasted like Chicken Tandoori in a Biryani. It was interesting, quite spicy, but I liked it. Aloo Pratha from the Chandni Chowk was eh, the potato filling inside seemed like it was repurposed from the chaat station, way too much Aamchur, it was very acidic, and the dough was a bit more like roti than paratha in richness. I do give them credit for making it to order, it was very fresh. The Chole Bhature did put them back on the map, as I enjoyed the gravy with hot Bhature. Happy Dayz Ice Cream, did not leave me very happy... I was told I got the Rasmalai Ice Cream, however there was Tootie Frooti Was Mixed in there, and I didn't like it at all, especially when a small scoop costs $4.50 and it barely filled a tooth. This is a great idea for the community. Overall experience here was terrific, can't wait to go back...
Read moreWhen I went in I saw over 200 people and got an instant bad feeling. If you don't want to get COVID-19 don't go here without a N-95 mask and some hand sanitizer. This place should be called COVID Junction. I chose some "Amul Cheese Pav." It looked good in the picture, but I found out that they just used some random shredded cheese instead of the Amul cheese and ramped up the price by 5 dollars. The food tasted good, but the spice was the most overpowering spice I ever tasted. It made blood come out of my eyes. Apart from that, we didn't order anything, but at "Cal Wok" the food seemed pretty decent but too oily and not appetizing. "Chandni Chowk" was kind of good, but not good enough for 4 stars. In a nutshell, it was okay, but not good enough for...
Read moreFlavor Junction is a food hub sharing multiple Indian cuisines. They have South Indian food, Gujarati flavors, Chaat n snacks and there’s a little right corner dedicated to ice creams, shakes and fresh juices which is a cash-only counter. This place has a fair amount of seating system available and is busy mostly during weekends. Flavor junction serves Live Pani puri which is a great addition because only a couple of restaurants around here serve it live. Whenever I come here, I see their staff busy making fresh pakoras and some yummy looking Gujarati flavours. So I'm assuming their food is...
