I bought a Dell computer from this OfficeMax with the description that said that it was touch screen. As soon as I hooked it up about two weeks after purchase-It was definitely not touch screen and not advertised correctly-I spoke to a lady who said that she was the manager her name started with an H. I explained the situation and told her I just hooked up my computer, and that the computer is in fact, not touchscreen -she tried to make reasons and excuses of how the description doesn’t say that but it in fact, does and she agreed. when I first started talking to her, my receipt wasn’t even showing they took it out of the system because I had in fact talk to a customer service representative the day before which they hung up on me, H said she was a manager, she called me back to explain that I could return the computer but they wouldn’t give me the touchscreen computer for the same price that they advertised it for, but would be happy to take it back -the explanation she gave me as it was just a typo in the description. She also explained to me that she could not give me that computer because they would lose money on it. So the computer that was advertised was under false pretenses. I thought I was getting a touchscreen Dell computer but she explained they were two different computers. SHAME ON YOU OFFICE MAX!! and shame on you H because you told me you were a manager, but when you called me back, you said the store manager said I could not have the advertised computer but I could return it!! I seriously will never be a paid customer in your store ever again- or...
Read moreSo my experience was, I paid for a Lenovo® IdeaCentre 510A Desktop IN STORE which was suppose to picked up at the store the following day (feb 4th). Upon my arrival for pick up, they told me it was shipped to my address which I never received. I demanded a refund because firstly, I didn’t have the product (which basically should have never been shipped) and secondly, it was a time sensitive purchase. They rudely asked me to call UPS and I told them I had no business with UPS. I insisted I wasn’t going to leave in till I had a refund. They called the Police stating I was black and they fell threatened.
I wonder if they thought I would be writing this review from the underworld. So, the officers who showed up basically determined it was a civil issue and left since I was t being disorderly.
I however had other things to do so I left. I later found out it was delivered to my neighbors address and I was able to it pick up from there and returned.
Now, after the return, which was a debit transaction of $746, they told me the funds went back to my card but it’s been two days now and nothing. They deliberately omitted feeling me on their return policies.
If this is how they treat all their customers, then I don’t ever want to buy anything from there.. You make your own decision. Your experience might have been...
Read moreI was going to write a nasty review but decided to write a "Thank you" review. Thank you Office Max for turning me on to copy services at FedEx. I had been going to Office Max/Depot for 10-plus years getting Blueprint copies (not 1000's but 100's) and rarely did I ever have to wait since I usually only had 3-4 copies at a time. I thought the Copy Center was what made Office Max/Depot the place for me. Sunday, I went into Office Max at 3 pm for 2 Blueprint copies (they close at 6 pm) and was told I could pick them up tomorrow since it was too late in the day to start a new job. WHAT! The new policy according to the clerk was "no jobs after 2 pm" because they wouldn't get done. I assured him I have had hundreds of copies made and they take about 15 min. Nope, can't do it. Okay, voting with my wallet, I will never use them again. On Monday I went to FedEx copy center. And they have a self-serve Blueprint machine that took me about 15 min to make 2 copies and they were less expensive than at Office Max. So, Thank you Office Max for driving this customer away to a competitor. FedEx has office...
