DON’T FALL FOR IT!!! My sleep number is zero stars.
Edit: Funny your response doesn't address the bait and switch tactics. High end bed in showroom - Ikea quality bed delivered. Shameful!
If I could score this organization a zero, I would do that. I will never do business with them again. Here's why:
The mattresses they have in their stores are NOT the same mattress you’ll receive at your home. The memory foam in the store compares to that of a Tempur Pedic mattress. The showroom beds are solid. If we had received the same level of i10 that they keep in the showroom – we would have loved the mattress. Instead we received a bouncy – mostly air bladder mattress. When you’re in the store you don’t feel the air bladder, but when you’re on the bed they deliver it’s a balancing act to make sure you don’t fall off the bed. It was so clear the mattress we got is different material that we called the same day it was delivered to have them pick it up. Then we were told about a 30 day minimum. Would you want to look at a king size bed in your room/house for 30 days that you don’t want? Come’on. They finally agreed to pick it up sooner than 30 days after we told them we had already bought an actual mattress – Tempur Pedic. Tempur Pedic was twice the price but we’ll be getting at least twice as much sleep. I’m so mad I fell for the advertisement. There’s a reason you see SleepNumber all of the NFL and TV – they spend big bucks because they sell a less than acceptable product and to do so they need you to think it's the best.
Then there’s the unexpected $250 pick-up fee! LOL. Their paperwork talks to a fee to have the mattress picked up, but it doesn’t say what the fee is. THAT is not legal. They want you to keep the bed for 30 days, but not more than 100. It’s all in an effort for you to give up and keep the glorified air mattress that I could have bought at Target for $79.
I will do what I can to make sure their sales decline until they figure out how to treat...

Buyers beware...Make sure, before you ever sign on the dotted line, that they give you a HARD COPY of their terms and conditions of sale so that you understand their "100 day in home trial" period only covers the mattress (which is several thousand dollars), and you will be stuck with their $3200 Hostpital industrial looking POs of a base. 1990 called and want their single incandescent underbed light back...come on Sleep Number...LED strings have been around for 10 years. Not that even that touch of modern would make being stuck with a $3200 dollar base when the mattress didn't work and no other mattress feels right.
We purchased at the MN State Fair and the "terms" as they were, were explained to us verbally, nothing highlighted and we were consistently told "try it for 100 days...even on the 99th day...if you don't like it, call and return it for a full refund!" Nothing about, oh the mattress only. We were then asked to sign agreeing to purchase the bed. I do not even have a hard copy of my agreement with my signature on it. You can apply an electronic signature to anything these days and claim to have "gone over" the contained materials...so buyers beware. We even asked the Sleep Number reps we called to discuss this situation with to provide a copy of our "signed contract" and they said they would have to research it. Can we say "shady"!
First...NEVER consider Sleep Number!
Second..if you must...NEVER purchase same day...even in the store...demand a hard copy of their terms and conditions and take them home, review them, read them again, and then read them one more time. Make sure to then ask them to go over the section on the in home trial and what you can an cannot return. If you still want to take the risk, then go for it.
Me...I am hoping the price of steel scrap goes up because at this point, that is what this base is to us...a $3200...
Read moreThe one star is due to the service I received on the phone. I called and spoke and spoke with Anthony and explained that we had recently purchased one of their beds online. I then went onto to explain that prior to this crazy time in our lives (Covid 19) that when they deliver the bed, they would take away your old mattress for free, but due to Covid 19, they're no longer doing so. Anthony agreed that they had indeed stop doing so. I then went on to explain that I don't have a vehicle to haul away a king sized mattress and have reached out to several refuse removal services and that the cost to me is going to be (seriously! no joke!) $200. When I told him this, there was no reply. I then said, since I bought this online I know that he's not the person I should be speaking to, but that I needed to start somewhere and that I was looking to see if Sleep Number would kick in something such as sheets, or a remote, etc... Anthony then responded, "why would we? We were giving you a free service. Now you just want to get stuff for free?" Anthony, I don't know if you were having a bad day. Or what your issue is or was. But you really impressed me as a complete jerk. Your words and tone were not needed. And my philosophy is, you don't know if you don't ask. As I said, I knew they wouldn't be the people to help me. I needed to get with the online people but didn't know their number. The reason I explained what was going on and what I was attempting to do, was that maybe there was a different customer assistance number than their main. If you go to the this store, I wish you the best of luck and hope all goes well. I couldn't tell you about anyone else that works there, but if Anthony introduces himself to you, I would tell him you'll wait for the next sales person. I hope this helps...
