Tamarack Nature Preserve — Attraction in Woodbury

We decided to walk the paved and soft Trail Loop. The paint Trail is fine so there are no markings to tell you where you are or where you're going. We made it onto the soft Trail at the northwest corner of The Preserve, but after a few hundred yards the trail was completely unkempt. No maintenance. We went from a bark / mulch Trail to walking through weeds and Tall Grass for better than a mile. Compared to other walking trails around the area this mess in Woodbury...

Has a play ground best suited for 5 and under (small slides etc), has a port o potty, one picnic table in the shade, and some trails. The trails need more upkeep but I can see how it might be perfect for skiing in winter. Not a trail for strollers as weeds over grow just 1/4 mile down the path... at least when I went, there was some construction being done to improve the parking area...

It was a short walk since one of the trails (I believe the 3rd trail) were closed due to construction so we had to turn back and walk to the other trails. It was about 1.4 miles. I would go back again and see if I missed anything since the map showed we could’ve done around and through...
