Michaels — Attraction in Woodhaven

I shop at the Woodhaven store often, but on my last visit I was asked cash or debit. I said credit and she said for that I would have to use self checkout and she could help if I needed help. There was no kind of sign anywhere indicating credit card users had to use self checkout. If the cash register she was using could take a debit card, it could also take a credit card. So she can't ring up my purchase, but she can stand with me at self checkout to assist in case I can't figure it out on my own. The whole thing was absurd. I don't know when or why this asinine policy was put into place, but I left my pile of stuff and went down the street to Hobby Lobby where I got a better price and excellent customer service. The good thing is I found out that I prefer Hobby Lobby and will not need to return...

This posting is strictly for the custom framing department. I needed to replace the glass on a framed print. The size of the glass was 24 by 36", which I understand is a large piece of glass. I took the print to their framing desk, and was quoted a price of over $200. I asked if I could apply one of their coupons, like their 40% off 1 item coupon, but was told that does not apply to custom framing. I was told I could save 75%, If I were buying new framing. I explained, I only needed the glass, and thought I would be able to qualify for some discount, but was told I did not. I called Joann Fabrics, who gave me 65% off their listed price on the glass, and my price was a little over $100. Do not get balloons filled here. Unless you are the first in the door and no one else is attempting to return/purchase anything behind you.

With PARTY CITY no longer filling blooms this was the next available option. There was a gentleman who was very nice, very helpful. However it took over an hour to get 5 latex balloons filled that I brought in. For the poor guy was seemingly the keeper of knowledge of all things and was constantly asked for help with the other young staff. Again, totally fine BUT it was just five balloons and there wasn’t even a hey fix this and I’ll finish the balloons or let me finish the balloons first and then I’ll help.
