I’ve been here twice and both times the employees tried to discourage us from coming because they were within 40 minutes of closing. The first time they reluctantly took us and the second time my son was just waking up from a nap and cranky. They stood behind the counter like guards and made snarky remarks and said they were closing soon and wouldn’t be able to take him because he was tearful (we JUST walked in). There was no tantrum, nothing. He was holding my hand and calmly walking in to the store with me. He was upset because he had just woken up. I asked for 2 minutes because he just woke up and they said no- they were closing soon. It was evident that they just didn’t want to cut his hair. If they don’t want business they should say that and change their store hours.
As we were walking out she had the audacity to say “You know you shouldn’t force him to have a haircut”. I told her that I have never once forced my son to do anything- and AGAIN explained that he’s upset because he just woke up- not because of haircut. I already explained that, but she made it what she wanted as an excuse to close early. The arrogance, judgement, and evident laziness speaks volumes. They are not kid or people friendly at all. For the record, my son (who is not on the spectrum) loves getting his haircut however I have nephews who are on the spectrum and it can be traumatizing for them. This is not the place to go for children with or without special needs. I can only imagine what their reaction and verbiage to the special needs child and parent. We’re off to find a pleasant, welcoming salon that wants business and won’t be degrading to suit their agenda.
Reply to Supercuts comment: Thank you for your reply. I will take your suggestion however we won’t be returning. Similar incidents happened on 2/2 visits with the same employees and I’m not going to trust and pay for a service at a store that’s so...
Read moreSHiTAL is the most AMAZING stylist!! I feel like it was an honor to sit in her chair!!! So I had the same hairstylist since I was 14 (16 years) but the commute was becoming too much (amongst other things) so I was searching for someone new. I was def skeptical of even going to supercuts never mind getting highlights but after reading reviews and complimenting another woman I ran into on her color (another Shital client)- I figured let me give it a try. Not only is Shital beyond extremely talented at her craft, she is beautiful inside and out and I had such a fun time talking with her!! She literally did EXACTLY what I was looking for cut and color wise without me having to ask- I showed her pics of myself and how I often style and wear my hair and left the rest in her hands. My hair was pretty long and I had semi grown out highlights with some grey peeping in through the top. I did a Partial Highlight, drastic cut (for me as i’ve always kept it long), wash, and blowout. I am THRiLLED with the results!!! She took about 4 inches off, long layers, and long curtain bangs with face frame. I went from brown to a gorgeous blonde highlight. In all these years I have NEVER received the amount of compliments on my cut and color as I have after seeing Shital. I will be a customer for life!!! and it was a FRACTiON of what I would have paid anywhere else. You cannot find a better stylist for the price. Don’t sleep on Supercuts- I can’t believe it took me so long to give it a go as I found a gem in Shital and the location is a 4min drive from my house!!!! I will include a pic but it doesn’t even do it justice as in person it looks even better!!! THANK YOU SHiTAL can’t wait to see...
Read moreThis review is for the Supercuts location at 1228 Route 46 West; Little Falls, NJ. Grab a drink, sit down and let’s talk about Carlene. A very VERY personable Stylist! Both my 13yo DD and 10yo DS enjoyed their appointments with her. She is engaging in a very genuine manner. A parent, as well, she also engages with you to make sure that your requests are met. Now this is not to say none of the other stylists have the skill or the friendly service. What you do get with Carlene is that “special something” which makes the whole visit memorable. She is real as real can get. When your kids say, “I hope we get Ms. Carlene”, that is a big deal. They both were comfy in the chair, having meaningful talks about life, school and their sports. Then when they were done, they enjoyed looking at themselves to see a job well done! As for pricing, well that’s Supercuts. (Prices everywhere are going up for the consumer!). But, know that for what you pay, Carlene gives you her best effort! And that’s OK by me! Oh and the Supercuts app is the way to go!!! Can’t get any easier to make an appointment! Looking forward to the next...
