The Absolute most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I Went in person to the Store to explain and schedule an install which required a good dolly and some floor protection to set in place a stove and fridge. I was scheduled between 11-1pm by 1:15, no contact so I contacted the manage to see an ETA. he said 15 min, 45 minutes later the 2 installers showed WITHOUT a dolly. They then took an hour to retrieve the dolly and return. upon returning they set down a 1/8" if that piece of wafer board the size of a poster board and flexed like poster board to protect a decent threshold. I said that I would put carpet and some plywood so it would be better protected. The installer snapped at me and said he was leaving. Literally left. leaving my refrigerator handles off that they removed. I immediately called the manager to see why he was so upset, if anyone was frustrated I clearly had reason to be, and that I needed them to finish the install. I was told that the job was too big and that the installer didn't want to do it and because he was mad he would damage them. ARE you Kidding!? A 36" standard Fridge and 36" Stove was too big? Plain lazy and RUDE. No accountability, no professionalism, no communication. If you want to see a grown man throw a baby tantrum and his boss enable him, take no accountability when he knew moving a 36" stove and refrigerator would require a dolly and some muscle that we talked about prior to installation. You are better off hiring 12 year olds to do the job using their skate boards as a dolly. Or go down the street to Duerden's where they are professional and experienced. There is a reason Charlie Fuller's showroom in empty and Duerden's is...
Read moreHad Mike come out to repair a leaking refrigerator in early December. He was friendly enough, and said that he'd fixed the problem, but explained that the company had a generous repair warranty that he would uphold. A couple months later, the fridge began leaking again, so I called them up. They said Mike was no longer with the company, but they would send someone out to fix it again under warranty.
The guy that came out spent a long time trying everything he could think of. He said that he had checked everything, and nothing was wrong that he could see. I asked if he had tried pouring a little water down the defrost drain in the freezer (the first thing I would have tried). He had not, but thought that was a brilliant idea. He did that, found the problem immediately, and fixed it. He also told us that our fridge door wasn't sealing correctly, so tried to brute force bend the door to straighten it out. We've never noticed any sealing problem, or issue with the compressor running all the time. Well, I'm not sure if the door seals any better, but the door is now much more difficult to close. A gentle push used to swing the door completely shut. Now it requires either a very hard push, or you have to guide the door completely shut with your hand. This results in the door frequently being left slightly open. Not good.
My experience with the company was certainly not terrible, but it was not terrific either, as you...
Read moreWe purchased our first appliances from Charlie Fullers 20+ years ago and were very happy with quality, cost, and customer service, and we've purchased several things from them over the years. This summer we purchased 4 kitchen appliances and our experience was very different. We were told we were eligible for a $500 rebate, and learned after delivery we were not (despite asking specifically about the rebate before going ahead with the purchase). The salesman told my husband he found a $400 rebate that the appliances we purchased were eligible for, so we figured we were only out $100. We just received the rebate and it was only $300. We decided to buy all 4 appliances based on the fact we would be receiving $500......we would have made different decisions if we'd known what we would actually receive. Good lesson to not believe what a salesman tells you----I should have verified the rebates myself.
We paid to have appliances delivered and installed and it was kind of a cluster. What we were told would take 2-3 hours ended up taking 6 because of broken down trucks and a lot of disorganization which the installers were all too happy to tell me all about. We always try to support small local businesses instead of the huge chains. This isn't the Charlie Fullers we had such great experiences with...
