Love this cozy little Shanghainese restaurant, the atmosphere is cute.
The food was half and half on how I felt about it, but most of it was really good! The Shanghai dumplings were juice, but I don’t think I’d necessarily call them soup dumplings. They definitely don’t give you a spoon or chopsticks like they would for soup dumplings. I’d give them a 3.5 out of 5. For the lunch special we tried three different mains. The green beans reminded me exactly of what I’ve eaten in China, but the potatoes were just French fries..? I’d still rate it a 5 out of 5 because the sauce was amazing on it too! The kung po was good, and I’d order it again, but I think it was just slightly above average. My friend liked the orange chicken, but it was not for me. Kind of dry, and on the sweeter side. I don’t like orange chicken in general though. And the fried rice was pretty standard. We also tried the passion fruit boba, and I liked the base but I did not like the boba itself. It was undercooked so it was kind of hard. We also got barley tea and it wasn’t as dark as I like, tasted like it might be a blend, but it was hot and it’s hard to argue with that on...
Read moreI just want to know if this is your standard of food??? My Friend paid $30 for my food an Two boba drinks mine was more like a slushie but I was expecting Taro Tea I waited an hr for it to melt just so I could really drink it but wasn’t sweet at all. On top of that I ordered this Chicken an it taste stale so I opted not to eat it. If this is your standard of food how could you possibly have 4 stars you can’t even chew this chicken it taste like you recooked an Old Order if you don’t wish to serve people fairly just say that. But don’t take someone’s Money and Treat their food like trash. Especially if they were courteous an kind to you and your staff. First Boba experience in Utah ( Garbage) I do not recommend to Racially ambiguous persons, or persons of Color. This food was an a waste of Money but God bless you all . I just want the Quality of food I’m paying for. Now I half to order dinner from somewhere...
Read moreI was really excited when I read the reviews. I wish I would have experienced what these other people experienced. I just spent $100 to feed my family and most of the food was pretty bad. A couple things had potential if they actually finished cooking the items. Dumplings were still raw, Mongolian beef was actually good but was mostly onions and very little beef and very small portion. Shrimp lo mein barely had any shrimp and was mostly sauce. I’ve never had fried shrimp that still had the heads attached and weren’t fried. Orange chicken would have been good if it was cooked all the way. Shrimp fried rice was decent but very small portion. The steamed rice was the only item that they filled to the top. Maybe ordering take out wasn’t the way to go with this place. I should have taken pictures before my family started...
